35 - Be Mine

I begin to quicken my pace as I make my way down the street, the cold air numbing my face. The sound of my heels on the pavement serving as a constant reminder of the time and I mentally scolded myself for not leaving sooner. I clutch my bag tightly as I walk past the alleys, dark places where even the vibrant colours of tonights sunset cannot reach.

A sense of relief washes over me as I turn the corner and walk up to the door of the restaurant, my eyes scanning to find the booked table. I'm soon escorted through the building and my coat is taken off of me as I sit down in my seat.

"Hey," I begin, out of breath, "I'm sorry I'm late, Daisy has a date with Tobi tonight and I had to help her get ready," I smile, placing my bag in between my feet.

"It's fine, I just got here a few minutes ago anyway," Simon smiles, reaching over the table to hold my hand, the action making me raise an eyebrow.

"So, why did you want to meet here?" I ask. Up until now, Simon and I had only ever met up in private, so you can imagine my surprise when he called and arranged to meet in such a public place.

"I mean, what if a fan sees us? Or one of our friends?" I question before he has a chance to answer my previous question.

"Well, thats actually why I wanted to meet," Simon states, taking a deep breath before continuing.

"What if... what if we didn't have to worry about being in public together?" He says, his eyes gazing into mine.

"W-what do you mean?" I question, having a slight indication of what he was eluding to but trying not to get my hopes up.

"I..uh.." He stutters, clearly nervous. 

"It's okay, just take your time," I comfort him, rubbing his hand gently.

Simon's eyes burn into mine, nothing but lust and passion swirling in them. My leg starts to bounce under the table as my heart rate increases.

"Be mine," Simon states after a few moments of silence.

"What?" I ask, my heart feeling like it's beating out of my chest.

"Be my girlfriend, Y/N." Simon replies, a smile beginning to form on his face.

After my last relationship, I swore that I would never date anyone ever again. I didn't want to risk going through what I went through again, and I was terrified that I would get my heart broken. However, everything about Simon draws me in. His eyes, his laugh, his personality, it all makes my heart flutter. If there is one thing I'm certain of, it's that I want to spend the rest of my life with him. I want to experience the highs and lows with him, possibly get married and maybe even one day have his children. I trust him more than anyone, he is always there for me and we have a special bond.

"I will," I grin, leaning over the table to plant a kiss on his lips.
