ㅤㅤㅤAnastasia slowly finished brushing her blonde hair as she stared at herself in the bedroom bathroom mirror. She rested the brush on the sink counter and ran both hands over her navy blue pencil skirt, brushing off the nonexistent dust on her clothes before grimacing at her reflection.

She left the bathroom turning off the light and then followed the one from her room, and left, closing the door behind her. She was coming down the stairs when she stopped abruptly at a soft sound caressing her ear canals.

Keys, piano keys.

She smiled to herself, finished walking downstairs, and visualized her niece on the living room's couch watching TV.

"Good morning, Alice" she greeted, broadening her smile. The shorter one quickly reciprocated with the same enthusiasm. The woman looked around her, expecting to find her blond nephew, to no avail. "Where is Jasper?" she asked, looking a bit concerned.

"He went hunting with Emmett" Alice answered calmly, turning off the device. Anastasia avoided making a grin and just nodded. "It shouldn't be long, I'll go change" she commented, standing up and jumping around her aunt to go to the stairs.

The blonde’s golden eyes followed the slim figure of the brunette until she was not able to continue visualizing it, it was at that moment that she let out of her a marked expression of concern.

At that point, her nephew would have to deal with the lack of blood much better, but it was not like that, she would dare to say that he had even worsened over time. Before he could endure days without hunting and now almost every day before going to school he escaped to the forest.

It was like he didn't trust his own willpower.

She avoided expressing the clear decadence to the pixie cut, she would surely try to embellish everything with her great positivism and confidence, she would also claim that in the future she didn't see any attack, which did not mean that fate could be capricious and change everything. Although sometimes she believed that the capricious was the young woman because she didn’t believe in the variable possibilities.

The smell of cookies reached her nose, pulling her out of her thoughts easily. Her feet moved without being ordered to the kitchen, where she found her sister-in-law cooking.

Her brows furrowed slightly as the melody of the piano keys stopped, but she refrained from going to find out why, and her expression relaxed.

"It smells good, Esme" she complimented and walked over to the steaming tray of cookies, breathing in more of the sweet scent.

From what she could tell, they were chocolate chips cookies.

"Thank you, Anastasia" the woman replied warmly as she removed her oven mitts. "I thought you and Carlisle could take them for the nurses. Those poor women work too hard.”
