that November story

Nakarinig ako ng katok mula sa main door ng bahay

And hindi na ako nasurprise kung sino ang kumatok

No other than my mom

"What do you need?" I casually said

"Your dad wants to talk to you.."

 

"Para saan mom? Para ipamukha sakin yung mga mali kong desisyon? Sino nagpapunta sayo yung tauhan ba ni dad?" I said habang iniaayos ang mga kalat sa living room

I know that I'm being too harsh on my own parents but who are you to judge me? I'm tired of being a puppet na palaging sumusunod sa kanila

I want to prove something on myself. I want to stand on my own feet. Hindi lang para sa sarili ko but for my family as well.

I looked away at napatingin sa glass window na kagagawa lang.

"Hindi anak. Ang daddy mo ang nagsabi na gusto ka niyang makausap..we just both want the best for you. walang kahit sino man ang pumilit na magpunta ako rito. kaya lang busy pa ang daddy mo kaya wala siya dito ng personal"

I didn't want to say anything.. But

 

"You want the best for me? And why didn't just let me decide for myself? you two always want the control over me.."

She's sad and maybe disappointed

But one idea flashed into my mind

"Sige I would see dad in one condition"

I saw her smile genuinely.

 

"Kahit ano my kimberly"

"I want xian to stop spying me para I can do freely whatever I want na hindi pinapaalam kay dad"

"Xian?" I saw mom na naguguluhan

"Yeah mom I want Xian out of my life. Get rid of him he always irritates me.."

"I didn't know anything about him hija all I knew is there's a private investigator who's been calling your dad and updating him pero sobrang tagal na since nakita ko siya pumunta sa house.."

I look at her intently. What?

"Pero sige I would ask your dad about it."

She hugged me and whispers something "I just want our family to be whole again" naramdaman ko na rin na parang naiiyak siya

She walked away and try to hide her emotions before sumakay na sa car niya

"Mommy.." The only word I say before a tear escape from my eye.
