Chapter Fourteen

Abegail was still in her dreamland when her phone started ringing like there's no tomorrow. She wanted to cancel it but did the other option since she's a Doctor and there could be a patient that needs her supervision.

"Hello." Abegail groggy answered the call.

"Sissy!!" Gwen's scream made Abegail jolted awake.

"Gwen?" Abegail doubt the caller.

"Of course I'm your only best friend unless someone took over my spot." Gwen gave her mocking speech on early morning.

"Gosh! Tone it down you're damaging my ears it's only five in the morning here and you woke me up." Abegail checked her nightS stand clock.

"Stop complaining and get your butt out of the bed and pick us up!" Gwen tells her friend what to do since Abegail is seems to be in her dreamland.

"Wait what do you mean pick us up and whose us?" Abegail got even more daze with her friend.

"US! Me and Lola Julia--- hello?" Abegail can see Gwen is now rolling her eyes on her.

"Wait, why do I have to pick you up?" Abegail sat up lazily on her bed.

"We're here at the airport now." Gwen keep on smiling while talking to her.

"Airport? What you mean Airport? Where?" Abegail keep repeating Gwen's words to make sure she is not dreaming.

"I don't know if you're really deaf or you've gone deaf. I'm with Lola here at NAIA 1 inside the restaurant." Gwen started to get aggravated.

"In NAIA? As in here in Manila?" Abegail jolted on her bed.

"YES!! So if I were you stop talking like a parrot and pick us up before my phone battery got drained!" Gwen demanded and Abegail can feel smokes are coming off on her best friend's ears.

"Oh God!! Okay okay I'm on my way!! I'll see you." Abegail rushed to the bathroom and had the fastest shower in her entire life.

After changing quickly she collects her bag and her car key since she already got her car. After few lessons with Tatay Rolly she managed to drive the City without his help anymore. She also installed navigation system on her phone for alternate route she might use later on. In a matter of an hour, she got to the airport and immediately went to the restaurant. Immediately her eyes landed on the screaming woman yelling for her name.

"ABBYYYY!!" Gwen waved at her by the restaurant's entrée.

"GWEN!! I MISS YOU!" She hurriedly went to the chairs so they won't have more attention but failed.

"OH MY GOD!! I missed you too Sissy!!" Gwen hugged her still on the same high pitch voice.

"Tone it done you two rascals, you are causing a scene." Julia reprimanded the two women.

"Hi Lola, I missed you too! You really surprised me by coming!" Abegail hugged and kissed her.

"I missed you too apo I hate travelling and yet I'm here. It's been 30 years eversince I left and a lot has really changed." Julia embraced her only grandchild.

"I know Lola anyway how's the flight? Please tell me you sleep and didn't play all throughout the flight." Abegail pulled away and sat with them.

"Of course I did sleep but Gwen on the other hand was complaining." Julia pointed at Gwen who is now drinking her coffee.

"How could I not? Lola I was wishing to sit with a hunk but damn I ended up with an old man who keeps tattling on me." Gwen pouted like a child.
