Hayden POV 🥺👉👈

Well that was annoying.
This is annoying.

Seems like the only time father has cared about me is when he has to.
It's not like I asked that he accompany me to meet the principal, talk shit about my accomplishments and grades, shake his hand then leave.

Everyone can do that. Anyone can do that.
But no.
He has finally decided to get involved with my business ever since Mom died.
How thrilling and kind of him.

Though I have protested about attending this school, it does not matter. I don't matter to him. I'm just another problem he has to take care of.

I have reminded him multiple times that the school I have gone to before is fine.
Why suddenly be so excited to have me back in Korea.

Even that girl, who fucking bumped into me almost making me drop my thick ass books, is wearing the uniform to this school.
What a bad omen.

She looked familiar in some way. Probably a daughter of a senator or something.

"Do you have anything to add, Hayden?"
I finally focused my eyes on the principal instead of staring blankly at him. Quite rude of me. I should apologize later.

"No thank you, I'm good" I said with a voice break halfway through.

"Well that summarizes everything we need to go over. If you have any questions, Dr. Kang, please feel free to contact me or our secretary. I have already informed all of Hayden's teachers about his presence.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim" my father said with a smile almost looking genuine.

The principal handed me a piece of paper along with a brochure and told me that that it was my schedule and some more details about this place.

Looking at the brochure, I nodded slowly.

Father got up, shook the principal's hand one last time before turning to leave.
I did the same with a bow, ignoring the pain in my back.

I followed my father outside as he went on about how prestigious this school was and how kind it was that the principal allowed my presence in such a short notice.
Parents, who give a shit about their children have to beg, wait, or have relations with famous people get in.

How cliché.

We stop at the main floor office. The secretary notices us, immediately recognizing my father, quickly bowing, then came up to us.

She's smiling cheerily and I almost feel sorry for her about having to deal with me. She introduced herself as the head secretary of Huenin then nudged to see the piece of paper the principal gave to me which turns out to be a schedule.
