BEVERLY DIDN'T KNOW MUCH, but she did know how to beat a final boss. And I mean... Seamlessly. She was the connoisseur of survival games. They were her niche (ironically enough).

The young woman would spend hours upon hours sat in her gaming chair, jutting her thumbs against the controller. Her deep brown eyes completely fixed on the large screen of her television — the faint sound of her older brother whining from all the obnoxious sounds of shooting and yelling.

She'd even gotten a medal at the gaming con she frequently visits every few years.

Beverly had a thing and it was gaming — which was a lot more than her brother could say. He sold pizza's... At least she was making a sustainable paycheck from it. With all those promos she was offered, she could've moved out on her own.

But, she could never just abandon her brother like that. Despite their bickering, they had each other's backs — she could never ditch him over a paycheck — over anything really!

It was always Glenn and Bev. Or, Bev and Glenn — always.

And even when the world flipped upside down on it's head — rising the dead to descend the living, that still rang true.

Suddenly, all that work jutting her fingers against a controller or space bar, didn't go to waste. Combined with her brother's knowledge of the city, and her minimal understanding of the state the world was in... The two became valuable assets together and apart.

Even in the midst of constant chaos, the youngest is able to find her person — someone who wasn't her brother. Just like he found his.

However, the world wasn't that forgiving to allow her relationship to reach its full potential even with the hard work behind it. None of her relationships, honestly. But like she always says —

All she had to do is deal the right cards... To get what she wants. And that seems simple enough, right?
