Feeling full and satisfied after the hefty meal, Jenny and I walk down the mall until I spot a coffee shop on the corner of the street.
Asking her if she wants coffee, she shakes her head no and tells me she'll wait in Bottega store four stores down from the shop.
I nod my head and go inside the shop noticing people milling about. Getting in line, I check my phone for any emails and answer a few from work, and notice that I'm already being called up to order.
"Annyeong, how can I help you?"
"Hello, can I have a sized medium honey caffe latte with two pumps of expresso please?" I ask as I pull out my card.
"Anything else for you today?" The man wearing a fitted black shirt imprinting Lavender Cafe in the front asks.
"That's all for me."
"That will be 8000 won." I give him my card and say, "Actually, the ten eight drinks are on me for the next customers. You can charge it here." Since it's my first day in Seoul and feeling quite joyful, I feel like sharing my happiness by buying other people's coffee.
"Thank you, that's very generous of you." The guy says as I put 100 dollars in the tip jar.
I smile and go towards the pickup area.
I go back to my emails and right after sending my answer to Dr. Robert's case plan recommendation, I notice that men are standing in front of me.
Lifting my head, I look confused as to why strangers are standing with vacant expressions on their faces.
"Uh, can I help you?" I ask as I take a step back with how strange their behavior was.
Tall good looking men are staring at me sporting fashionable and expensive clothes. One guy on my right is the tallest with prominent dimples wearing grey Louis Vuitton sweatpants with a matching hoodie. The guy with luscious lips and broad shoulders is on my left wearing cream-colored cashmere and black denim pants. In the middle is a man in a simple baggy white shirt and black pants showcasing the intricate design of his tattoos on the left arm. Behind them, I see a guy wearing a black bucket hat, kind of difficult to see his face. All I see is porcelain skin and black hair. The guy that looks like an angel with plump lips has his arm around the guy with curly hair and a Gucci jacket. The man with a bright friendly smile is looking at me beside the guy with a bucket hat.
I notice that all of them are just looking at me, like waiting for something to happen
I clear my throat and the sound wakes them up from a stupor.
"The guy behind the counter said that you paid for our drinks. We just wanted to say thank you." The guy with dimples says.
"Oh," I say and notice that they are already holding their coffees on hand.
"Don't mention it. You're welcome." I smile.
"Honey cafe late with two espresso shots" The lady making coffee announces and puts my coffee on the counter.
"Thank you," I say.
Unbeknownst to me, the men are still staring.
As I turn around to leave, I almost bump into the guy with broad shoulders.
"Uh..." I look at them confusedly not knowing why they're still there.
"Do you need something?" I ask.
"Oh, nothing. It's actually our first time to get free coffee from a stranger so we're kind of surprised, that's all." Broad shoulder admits and brings his coffee to his mouth while still making eye contact with me.
