After a few knocks on the front door a couple of strangers come in and I can see my dad point to me on the couch as I get up and start to come closer.

"No! You can't take me away from Papa! Papa, do something!" Strange jaguars are taking me away from my Papa and from my home as I struggle. Papa is just standing by, crying.

Case File [REDACTED]:
•Name: Asher Fink
•Age: 7 years old
•Species: Asian Small-Clawed Otter

"I'm sorry, Asher, but this for the best." He turns around and walks away as I kick and scream for him.

"Papa!" The jaguars manage to get me out of my home with their large paws. I just start to cry as they take me to their car. They get me settled in the back as I try to escape. They get in front as I try to get myself undone. "Please! Don't take me away from Papa! I... I..." I can't finish my sentence because of all the crying. They start driving away as I watch my home go away, out of view.

"Please, do not worry," a soft womans’ voice tells me as my tears begin to stop. "Your papa is not fit to raise you, so you will be going to a foster family. They will take good care of you."

"But I wanna stay with Papa... I don't wanna leave."

"I know how you feel, but this is for your own good." They drive as I keep trying to escape. Soon I give up and just sit quietly. Soon we reach a big building with a sign that says "Spiritrock Child Protective Services". I don't really know what "protective" means, but I remember papa telling me what a service is. I really wanna be with Papa right now because I am scared. But I won't let them know. They are bad people for taking me away from my Papa. They take me inside and take me to a room with a bunch of different toys and leave. The door closes behind them.

"Why me?" I take a seat on a chair in the room. I then place my paws on my cheeks and elbows on my kneecaps, tail wrapped around my body. "Why do I not get to stay with Papa?" I begin to cry again, but force myself to stop and wipe away the tears. "No! If I can't see my Papa, I will be angry at my foster parents! They are taking my life away!" I sit with my arms crossed for what feels like forever. As I start to get bored I can hear the door opening and I get up. When a few people come in I give them a mean look. They are one of the jaguars, a European badger, and a big light skin human man.

"Asher, this is Cheryl and Wesley Packard, your foster parents." They both come closer as I try to get as far away as I can.

"Stay back! You took my life away!" They both look puzzled.

"Took your life away?" The badger comes closer and looks down at me. "You must not have wanted to leave your home. Well, we'll do our best to make you feel at home with us." I back myself into a corner. I can't run as she bends over and hugs me, tail somewhat wrapped around me.

"Let me go! Help! Help!" I try to kick myself free and push her away, but she doesn't let go.

"Not until you calm down."

"No! You took me away from my Papa!" I start to cry as she doesn't let go. "Papa! Help! Strangers!" She rubs my back as I just cry and cry. I stop trying to escape and let her rub my back as I calm down.

"Better?" She lets me go and I nod, wiping away any leftover tears. "Come on, let's go home." I know they aren't gonna take me to Papa as she gets up and grabs my hand as we walk. I try to let go and she actually lets go as well. "Don't try to run off. I don't want to have to catch you day one." I pout as I follow her and the human. Tonight I am going to run away and find Papa. We head outside and they take me to a van.
