Princess hummed a little tune as she gathered blue berries into her basket. As she did it, she remembered a recipe for a tasty pie with blue berries. She knows her brother loves it and she is sure that Shiva will like it too. She smiles to herself when imagining both of them devouring that pie. As she stands up from a bush she already gathered berries from, she looks around. Few ogre children no older then eleven or twelve gather berries around her.
She took those children to teach them what forest fruits are good to eat and what are not. This also allowed their older siblings and parents to focus on other tasks and them to take their minds away from their dead family. She smiled as she heard how few girls began to also hum the same melody as she did.
She moved to another bush to gather berries but then heard a twig snap. She looked around them, trying to find source of that sound. She knew that Shion was given a task to guard them and while it would be good to have someone stronger then her here, she knew that there are no dangerous animals around and she still is little awkward around Shion.
As she finished scanning the are around them, she came back to gathering berries but this time after few seconds bush moved. Princess grew concerned that something really is around so she calmly walked up to kids and smiled towards them.
"Children. I think it's time we go back."
Everyone looked towards her and few groans of disappointment were heard. One of the children walked up to her and showed his basket.
"But miss! I have only a little of berries! It won't be enough!"
Princess smiled and crouched down while getting a hold of her sleeve. She placed her other hand on this child's left cheek while using her sleeve to wipe the blue juices around his lips.
"If you wouldn't eat all those berries then you would have more. But it's still enough, don't you worry."
Child blushed from embarrassment as he was caught on eating the berries he gathered. Princess simply smiled and patted his head, when she was done she took a hold of his hand and turned to other children.
"Okay, it's time we get back and show others what he have gathered. Let's go."
Princess began to head towards the village with children following her. They sang songs and laughed as they walked making Princess smiled and laugh in response. She loved taking care of children, she loved being rely upon. After all those years of either being closed off from everyone in her house or even more years of being in coma, she can now show what she is capable off helping others.
Princess watched children sing around her and promised to herself that when the time is right, she herself will bear children. At least two of them, she imagined one girl and one boy with tear markings under their eyes and crimson red deer horns on their heads. She then blushed as she caught herself daydreaming about her and Shiva's children but calmed down quickly when she heard a growl.
It made her freeze in place and open her eyes wide. No creature would attack ogre in a right state of mine, besides one...
"Children, come to me quickly!"
Princess bean to frantically look around them to find the source of this growl while mentioning children to gather around. When they did she turned to them and smiled.
"Okay, now I want you all to follow closely behind me and if you hear anything tell me."
"What's happening miss?"
One of the children asked but Princess smiled and patted her head.
"Nothing, I just want to have you all around. Now let's continue."
