3 months later

"Ana would you mind hurrying up some of us are dying of hunger here" I groaned in protest as my stupid excuse of a best friend was taking her sweet time in the changing room.

Ana and I have been friends practically since I started working at her mother's diner after school every Thursdays and Fridays since I needed the money. Apparently my parents and hers were good friends, and we had no idea till I started to work there. See we didn't go to the same school she went to a private school and I went to public school. Ana's parents are rich and mine; well they were middle class people.

We just became hooked to each other after she was being bullied by her own friends and I was the only person she talked to. After that we were inseparable.

"Oh don't get your panties in a twist, I'll be right out", I sighed and took a seat while waiting for her to come out.

"What do you think, yes or no?" I looked up and saw what she had on, it was a one sleeve black silk dress that touched the floor, and it had silver sequins on the side as well as the sleeve, I have to say it looked good on her.

"Perfect" I said with a big grin, "Good 'cause I want to look fabulous at the reunion" she said as she was adjusting her dress so it wouldn't fall. "Are you sure it's just for the reunion or is it for Jason too" I said with a smirk, "Okay fine it maybe for Jason too" she winked.

"So Ana could you please explain to me why I'm coming as your plus one when I could be at home watching the new episodes of 'How To Get Away With Murder'" I said as I helped her choose clutch that would go perfectly with the dress, "Well 1) your my bestie 2) you love me too much to say no to me 3) I need a wing man in case I find some weirdos there and 4) it'll be an opportunity for me to play match maker" she said with a wink.

"Anastasia Greene you will not and emphasis on 'will not', try to hook me up with-" "- OMG this is the one" she exclaimed as she brutally cut me off. "Ana are you even listening to me?" she was staring at the different heels on display while lightly singing to 'In Your Arms' by Nico and Vinz, "Babe don't worry I promise not to get you with a jerk like Cole" she said with a small smile as she was holding a pair of silver heels in her hand.

"Yeah who wouldn't want that?" I said sarcastically with a roll of my eyes. "Oh come on cheer up, quick pick a dress while I change out of this" she said as she ushered me to the dress isle and quickly scampered to the changing rooms. I looked through some of the dresses and to be honest they all looked like crap and guess what the uglier the dress the more expensive it is, typical, like how did anyone pay for this stuff?, they be STUUUPIID. I giggled at my sad self, I needed a life.

"You pick anything yet?" Ana asked me eagerly, "Nope" I said as I popped the 'P' and smiled at myself. "Sam this is serious" "I know I am serious" I said trying to pull off my best serious face, but we both ended up bursting into fits of laughter. "You need a life Sam" she said as she tried to compose herself which she was failing epically at. "Do us both a favour and buy us both one" I said.

When we finally managed to get a dress for me as well as heels, bracelets, and a necklace. "Now let's go satisfy that hunger of yours" she said as we headed to the food court.

"We'll have a two chicken burgers, two packs of fries and one Coke and one Dr Pepper, thank you" I said to the guy at the counter, he nodded and while I was trying to get my purse to pay Ana paid. "Seriously it was my turn to pay" I whined "That's what you get for whining too much about getting a dress missy, and did you really think I was going to let you pay?" "Well no but It doesn't hurt to try" I said with a big smile.

We took our seats with our food and started our usual gossip. "How's work?" Ana asked while staring at her phone, "Fine I guess, can't complain" I answered looking at the couples walking around holding hands, I smiled, I wanted that.

"Helloooooooo Sam, Sam, earth to Sam can anyone hear me, loser, hello, am I seriously talking to myself here?" I guess I zoned out cause the next thing I know is Ana is trying to take one of my fries. "Hey" I said as I slapped her hand away from my fries "Ow! Seriously?" she asked in agony "Yes seriously you fry napper, I'm so disappointed in you" I said as I covered them with one arm.

"So what the hell was that I was calling you and you were like completely zoned out or something, were you thinking of him" she said as she used her chilled Coke to massage her hand, "No I wasn't, I guess I was just thinking about what would have happened if Cole and I didn't break up" I said "Are you serious that was nine months ago get over him" she exclaimed, "I am over him it's just, I was just thinking about what we would be doing I guess" I put my head on the table ashamed "Well stop entertaining the idea, now your making me even more determined to get you a guy at my reunion" she said with a cheeky grin.

Oh what have I gotten myself into, I thought to myself as we finished our food. We later left the mall once we were done with our shopping.
