Marshmellow paced the haunted house floor as she's been doing for the past few days. She couldn't sit down, it felt like she had to stay standing up and keep moving to have her body even slightly settle. It felt like years since she saw the soft pink glow coming from her best friend as she flew around the big, messy living room. She stood still for just a moment to think about where else she could have been for the 7th time today. She could feel tears forming in her eyes, then dripping down her face that had a fixed frown.
Then, there was the sound of a door closing, and the pattering of feet as they walked down the stairs. She was tempted to not turn around, Bow didn't have feet anymore. But, if it was someone, she wanted to be polite, or have her guard up. So, she turned, and saw her friend Apple holding onto the rails of the stairs. Apple was looking at Marshmellow nervously.
"Hey Marshmellow, a-are you feeling okay?" The red fruit stuttered. "I'm actually not doing that great." Marshmellow said, "Have you seen bow?". "Still no.." Apple said, half annoyed to be hearing that question for what feels like the 100th time that week, but worried for her friend. Apple walked over and began to pat Marshmellow's back. "Ugh, will she ever come back-!". Just then, there was the sound of the door opening. Marshmellow quickly turned to see the bright pink bow she had been looking for for days. "Wait, bright pink?" the marshmellow thought. "Bow wasn't bright pink as a ghost..". Her facial expression turned from slightly relieved to surprised, as she to the side to make sure she wasn't seeing things. Bow was.. alive? That means..
The marshmellow ran over and hugged the pink bow. After a few seconds of silence inbetween the group, Marshmellow gently set Bow down. "Hi marsh!" Was all the flustered bow could muster up to say. "Hey, I was worried about you!" Marshmellow said, almost shouting. "Well, I'm glad your back bow, I think I'll leave you two alone to catch up." Apple said, awkwardly retreating back upstairs. After both of them had calmed down, marshmellow had many questions for her pink friend.
"So, how are you alive?" Marshmellow asked, looking down at Bow. "I honestly don't know, but, hey! Atleast we can hug, right?". Marshmellow felt like Bow was slightly avoiding the question, but continued on. "Where have you been?". "I got into the new season in the show! I just wanted to come back to visit you, make sure you were doing-". She clicked her fingers, "fine.". Marshmellow would've laughed, but, new season? Whatever, it's not that surprising Mephone hosted a new season. She let out a little giggle. Bow awkwardly stared off, and Marshmellow finally realized Bow was hiding something behind her back.
"What's that?" The Marshmellow intriguingly asked. "Oh.." Bow mouthed, before presenting a bouquet of white roses. "I picked them myself, and I they reminded me of you!" Bow laughed, before gently handing the roses to her best friend. Marshmellow hid her blushing face with the roses Bow had just handed her.
"So... I should probably just.. get to it, you know?" Bow nervously said. "I.. like you, a lot. And, well, I.. when we sung that song together so long ago, I finally realized it." Bow said, using her hand to wipe the dripping sweat off her face. Marshmellows face lit up, the roses weren't able to cover it anymore. "Could we.. go out on a date some time now that I'm alive?". There was a brief moment of silence inbetween them, before Marshmellow broke it with a smile.
"I'd.. like that." She giggled a bit. "Coolness! So when should we go?" Bow asked her. "We can go now, right? Neither of us are busy.." Marshmellow blushed. "Oh, yeah! Ofcourse!" Bow said, reaching her arm up to hold Marshmellows hand. "Where should we go?" Marshmellow asked. "Your choice!" Bow jumped. The two left the ragged haunted house holding hands, happy to have eachother by their sides.
