A/N: Mr Blackbourne

Mr Blackbourne

I blew out a breath as the key easily opened the front door of Sean's condo - we had taken a moment to knock but when there had been no answer, I had made the decision to enter.

None of us had mobile phones and hadn't really thought of what would happen if we turned up and Miss Sorenson wasn't home. It was still difficult imagining her out doing the kinds of things that we once had for the Academy.

"Should we just head over to the diner?" Kota asked, his voice quiet as I gently stepped through into Dr Green's...or Sang's entrance.

"Perhaps," I answered, as Sean pushed past me to spin around, his eyes tracking everything.

"It still looks exactly the same," he murmured and I understood what he meant. There was nothing out of place and no indication that Sang had been using this as her home for nearly a year.

"Do you hear that?" North muttered, his head cocked towards the hallway which led to the rooms further within the house.

The noise amongst us died down as we began to hear the obvious sounds of music playing.

"She's home," Silas announced with restrained excitement as the boys all started toward the noise. I cleared my throat and ordered them back, something that Harry Anderson had told me ringing through my mind.

"She lives alone in a dangerous world," Harry slapped me on the shoulder as I finished packing what little clothes I had into a duffle bag. "I would suggest that you either make damn sure she knows you're creeping up on her or be prepared to have your head blown off."

Surprised that they had all stopped at my command, I preceded them into the hallway, my eyes widening as I caught sight of Miss Sorenson wrapped in nothing but a towel as she fired a set of guns at my chest.

I felt the stinging agony as all four bullets found their mark, my body propelled back towards the door. I collapsed onto the ground barely able to breathe as Sang's scream rang through my ears.

Sean's panicked face appeared above me as I heard the others yelling at one another, some of them running towards the direction of the bathroom.

"Owen," Sean barked, "Stay with me."

I huffed out a laugh as my glasses slid askew on my nose, "I'm not going anywhere, Sean."

I knocked his hands away from my chest and lifted up my shirt to show my closest friend the bullet proof vest that Harry had strapped onto me before we had loaded into the bus.

"Jesus," he breathed, "I thought you were dead then. Four shots in the chest."

"Yeah," I grunted, pulling at the straps, "At least she wasn't aiming for my head."

He chuckled and helped me up, my ribs protesting the movement.

"Dr Green!" Luke called, his voice strained with worry, "We may need you."

Once making sure that I was steady on my feet, we both turned towards where the other seven boys all gathered around the bathroom entrance, their voices muddled as they tried to speak over one another.

I felt a little damaged but I still followed Sean as we pushed between our brothers - Sang was standing in the same spot, guns pointed at the floor as she squeezed her eyes tightly together.

I resolutely ignored the sight of her in the small towel and gently removed Victor's hands from her face so that I could replace them with my own.

I recognised the signs of shock - if we couldn't pull her back from her breakdown, her body would begin to show symptoms of physical distress.

"Gabe," Sean murmured, "Come help me pick out some clothes for her to wear." His voice hardening when Gabe shook his head, "Now! We need to put her into something warm."

I ignored the others and their frantic efforts to call Sang back as I tightened my hold, "Miss Sorenson," I called, my voice a croon.

Her face leeched of even more colour as I continued to whisper her name, "Its fine. I'm perfectly fine. You need to open your eyes now."

"I can't," she choked, "I killed you."

I held in a inappropriate chuckle, "No, you did not. I am going to have some terrible bruising but I am healthy and waiting for you to open those pretty green eyes."

I felt the others staring at me as I continued to pepper her ears with 'sweet nothings' as Sean called them as I waited for the warmth of my hands to soak into her skin.

I could understand her worry that she had managed to kill me but I shook my head over her stubbornness.

She was, not only worried about my wellbeing, but also how the others would perceive her if she came back to find that she had killed one of their brothers.

Looking over her shoulder, I watched as Sean and Gabe exited Sean's old room with a pile of male clothing and a large comforter.

Sean's worried gaze captured my own and I saw the message - She needs to be jolted back or I may have to sedate her.

I peered into her beloved face and sighed - they were all going to kill me but when drastic measures were needed...

I tilted her face slightly and gently dropped my lips onto her own, the pressured light as I allowed her to really feel my presence.

"Come back, Sang," I breathed, ignoring the way that my brothers all watched in shock and muted anger as I continued to kiss her.

My eyes open, I saw her finally open her own - the expression in them a mixture of shock, relief and happiness as tears flooded them.

"Say my name again," She asked, not moving away as my face split with a smile.

"Good morning, Sang."
