POV- Lexa's Third
"Bye mom, I'll see you after school. Remember you need to call about that nail appointment for you because your nails are lookin' crusty" says Lexa grabbing her keys and walking out the door to her car.
Lexa is a sophomore at RCC. She is loving life at the moment. She has an almost perfect GPA, loves herself, and loves her friends. She is always looking for new people to talk to but she is chill with her friends.
Walking into the school for the first time past summer break she sees all the people from throughout her past years there, along with some new people.
Morning announcements don't start for another 30 minutes so she has some time to mingle and catch up with some friends.
RCC is pretty small. It only has around 300 students and all of them gather in the cafeteria before classes start. Walking around, Lexa has some time to talk to Emily, Ellie, and Alexis.
"Yeah, I'm so excited to not have to have a third period. Thank god we decided to take on that extra class during the summer." Lexa says to her small friend group.
"i agree. that means that we get 3 hours off for break instead of just an hour and 30 minutes." Says Emily.
Lexa is talking when her eyes slightly glance behind Alexis to see this girl she has never seen before. She's a brunette with a very colorful button up on. She has cuffed blue jeans and bracelets up her arm.
Obviously an artist, Lexa thinks to herself. God she's beautiful though, Lexa continued the mental conversation.
That's when the colorful brunette looked back at her.
Their eyes locked for longer than a normal glance.
Butterflies filled Lexa's stomach and she began to feel dizzy.
The brunette let out a soft smile and she removed her eyes from this trance and continued her conversation with the girl sitting with her.
"oh my god." Lexa whispered to herself. "What?" Alexis asked. "oh- uh- i- it's nothing."
"okay, whatever" lexie replied."Good morning and welcome to the first day of the 2021-2022 school year!" Yelled Principal Hood from the stage.
After morning announcements, the school day begun and all Lexa wanted to know was her name.
