𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗗 𝗙𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡 𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡 𝗪𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞𝗘𝗗 back into the school and I felt myself relax, looking up at the strong walls that now surrounded us. I put my knife back into its sheath, watching as some of the kids started lighting the torches around the courtyard and AJ came running over to me and Clementine.
AJ: They’re pretty good. With the monsters.
Marlon: C’mon, y’all, food’s nearly–
The boy stepped up behind AJ, placing his hand on his shoulder, the smaller boy flinched and threw his elbow back, hitting Marlon in the groin. My eyes widened as Marlon groaned in pain, doubling over, clutching his stomach slightly.
Emma: Aw, shit…
Clementine: AJ!
The boy looked at me and Clem, horror on his face before rushing away from us.
Marlon: Shit… Kid packs a goddamn wallop, huh?
Emma: Yeah, pretty happy to say I taught him how to do that.
