Chapter 3 - The First Date (Part 1)

Hello, I'm back with another chapter I'm going to change the story a bit from last time's announcement. I might be doing the +18 scenes a bit early since I'm running out of ideas but don't worry the series is far from over since I just started it. So, without further ado let's continue.

In the morning Nishikata woke up. He got prepared and went outside to buy a promise ring.

Nishikata: Sir, how much does this ring cost?

Shop Owner: ¥6000

Nishikata: (There goes my allowance... No, this for Rie it's going to be worth it.)

After he bought the ring, he went to the Takagi Household to ask her parents for permission to go stay in a hotel for the weekends. They said yes that made Nishikata incredibly happy. After some time, they saw each other in the empty lot.

Nishikata: Hey Rie!

Takagi: Yuki!

She ran towards him, embracing each other like they had been away from each other for decades.

Takagi: I'm so excited for our first date! -excited Takagi noises-

Nishikata: Calm down Rie! I don't want you to have a heart attack before our date.

Takagi: Oh, so you're worried about me? -teasing tone-

Nishikata didn't even blush hearing her question. Takagi was surprised that he didn't react, not even a flinch. And then he spoke.

Nishikata: Of course! Why wouldn't I be worried about my most beautiful girlfriend!

Takagi couldn't hide her blush but instead she hugged him so that he wouldn't see her weakness, compliments from someone she loves.

Takagi: Well, should we go now? -smiles-

Nishikata: -nods- Yeah, sure.

So, Nishikata and Takagi went to the park for a walk. After their walk they went to a bench to rest for a while.

Nishikata: Rie, what will you do if we are going to be away from each other for a year?

Takagi: What made you think about that?

Nishikata: Well, I was planning to go abroad to study at Harvard University.

Takagi was shocked about what she just heard.

Takagi: WHAT!? Why didn't you tell me!?

Nishikata: Before we even got to this relationship, I tried to apply to Harvard and ended up passing...

Takagi was happy for him but also sad because of the thought of leaving her in Japan.

Takagi: we only got together the other day and you're already leaving me...-tears up-

Nishikata: Wait! Don't cry... I will be back after 2 years.

Takagi: That's too long... I don't know if I can handle that...

Nishikata: This is why I invited you for our first date. So that we can spend some time together before I go.

Takagi smiles a bit hearing this. She felt relieved but also worried about her boyfriend going to another country. She thought of many horrible things that could happen to him abroad. Nishikata saw her expression that made him hug her.

Nishikata: Don't worry I'll be fine...

Takagi's eyes widened then hugged back tearing a little.
