Chapter 13: Heading back to Hawkins

Eleven POV:

It was finally time. Finally time to see Mike and the others. It was 6:30 in the morning and everyone in the house was up and about. I quickly got changed into a pair of leggings and a T-shirt. As I walked down the stairs to the kitchen, I couldn't help but smile. It seemed to be a common thing though because both Will and Jonathan had smiles on their faces. I sat down at the table besides Will and was then given a plate with waffles.
"Okay everyone, chop chop, if we want to be there by at least 1 o clock we gotta leave soon!" Said Joyce. After I finished eating, I went upstairs to go to the washroom. After the boys have went the the washroom, I got my bags and headed back downstairs where Joyce was waiting. We both walked outside to the car.
"Do you need any help with that?" She asked in her sweet voice.
"No, I'm good thanks." I said, still with a smile on my face.
"I wonder what your happy about." She said sarcastically. I just laughed. When Will and Jonathan got out of the house, which felt like it took them years, I hoped in the back seat and waited for us to start driving.  Jonathan sat in the front seat with Joyce and Will sat beside me in the back.  I was so glad to finally be getting away from school and go see my friends again.  School for both me and Will hasn't been very nice.   No one ever talks to us, we are the outcasts, or at least that's what Will says we are. 
It felt like we were driving for days but we finally arrived at the Wheelers house at 1:45 pm.  Will and I quickly hopped out of the car and heading towards the front door.  The second we reached the door, we rang the door bell.  We waited a few seconds and then Mrs Wheeler opened the door.
"Hello guys!" She said very cheerfully.  "I will tell them to come up, come in, come in!"  Joyce and Jonathan were now behind us. 
"Boys! Guess who's here!"  She shouted down to the basement. A few seconds later, we heard what sounded like a stampede running up the stairs.
"El! Will!" Was the first thing Mike said as he hugged me and then kissed me on the lips. Dustin and Lucas were giving Will a group hug. Eventually Mike let go of the hug and he went to go see Will, embracing him as well. Then Lucas and Dustin came and hugged me. Nancy then came running down the stairs. She didn't even say anything before kissing Jonathan. After all of that was done, me, Will, Jonathan, And Joyce went to go unpack our bags. Jonathan was in Nancy's room, Joyce was in Mrs Wheelers room, and Will and I were in the basement where the other boys and Max were sleeping. Once I went down stairs, it hit me. I looked at Mike.
"Where's Max?" Mike shrugged his shoulders.
"She's been sick for a few days." Oh yeah. I thought, she had told me this when we last talked on the phone.  Everyone talked about what has been happening with them.  It was nice to hear that school was still going good for them, unlike me and Will.  Will and I never brought up the whole no friend and bullying situation to them, it would just make them worry.  After a couple more hours, we decided to watch a movie.  We all sat either on the couch or on the floor and watched "Back To The Future".
