Chap. 4 ~ Evesdropping to Jealousy

Hanako's POV

Yashiro was finishing up her cleaning while I sat on the windowsill, playing cards with the Mokke. I kept on losing and losing. I was near the end of the Mokke line as Yashiro, my girlfriend, was finishing up her cleaning and putting her supplies away. I wanted to help out but she kept telling me it's fine. I finally gave up trying to help and played cards with Mokke until she basically had to go. As she was getting her bag, I went up to her and hugged her from behind before kissing her cheek and smiling. "Time went by so quick! I wish we had more time together-" I told her. Time did go by quickly as I played cards with the Mokke.

"You know I'll be back tomorrow, and you can visit me evry class!" She said back.

I thought I could possibly sleepover at her home, so I asked. "How abouttt, I sleepover at your home?"

"I thought you said you can't travel outside of the school?" I forgot about that fact.

"Rightt- I forogt-" I said back to her. she giggled and hugged me, kissing my cheek soon after.

"Woww Hanako-Kun-" She started, "I'll be back tomorrow, I promise."

I nodded and hugged her, "Fineee.." I said back to her in a whiney tone.

She smiled as she walked out of the bathroom. I watched as her light cream colored hair left my sight, followed by her soft teal hair follow after. I watched her leave and sat back on the windowsill, continuing my game with the Mokke. I kept losing and losing every single game I had left. After the final game, all the Mokke was gone and I was the only one left in the bathroom. For a while, I watched the sun go down and watvhed as stars filled up the night sky. It reminded me of how I wanted to go to the moon someday. I wanted to visit Mr. Tsuchigomori, in the 4PM Library for fun because I had nothing else to do, so I floated out of the bathroom, starting to head towards the library. Spirits can go to the 4PM Library at anytime while living students can go there at 5PM.

As I was floating to the library, I heard some voices in a classroom. 'Students?-' I thought, 'Why are they still here after school? An after-school club?' I followed the voices and eventually got to the classroom. I soon put my ear against the door to see what they were talking about. It sounded like 3 boys.

"Waitt, do you two have any crushes?" One asked. The other two agreed because I heard them say they did have a crush, "Well? Tell me who they are already!" The same voice who asked before said.

"Fine fine," A familiar voice said, it was Akane Aoi, part of the seven wonders, "My crush is Aoi Akane!-"

The boy who asked if they had crushes spoke up after Akane, "That's kind of obvious, considering you write about her like everyday- but what about you?"

I'm guessing he's talking to that other guy since there's only 3 in there. "Mine? My crush is Yashiro Nene!"

That shocked me. I didn't think anyone else liked her exept me. I started to feel jealousy in me, it was like my stomach was tying in a knot. I soon started to go to Mr. Tsuchigomori's boundary again. I didn't want to hear much about the crushes now. After a few minutes, I finally got to the library, soon going into Number 3's boundary. Mr. Tsuchigomori was sitting at a desk and reading a book from the normal library, soon looking up from his book and giving me a small wave. "Hello Honorable Number Seven, what are you doing here?" He asked while he tilted his head, confused.

"I just came here for fun! I was bored after finishing tons of rounds of playing cards with Mokke and Yashiro left already so I have no one to talk to." I went to a chair nearby Mr. Tsuchigomori and sat in it.

He nodded and put his book down, "So you just want to talk? I don't have a lot to talk about you know."

I nodded and sat up, "Yeah yeah, but you're also the calmest wonder I can talk to!" I smiled at saying that, it's true after all. Yako, number 2, will just bite me the whole time, Mitsuba would freak out if I go to his boundary because I have a knife with me, and if I went to Akane, he'd most likely ignore me the whole time I talk. Mr. Tsuchigomori just doesn't care a lot so he listens actually. He also was my teacher when I was alive so he hasn't minded me talking. "I suppose your right. Stay as long as you want. But what do you want to talk about?" Mr. Tsuchigomori asked, soon eating one of those butterflies after.

I shrugged as an answer and I remembered that I could talk to him about that boy that has a crush on Yashiro "Ooh! Now I have something to talk about!" I said a bit excitedly.

Mr. Tsuchigomori nodded and turned to me. "Well? Take your time to explain then."

I had to think for a while so I could put it in words. Soon enough, I got it,"Well, I was on my way here when I heard a few boys talking- I did eavesdrop but that's beside the point. They were saying who their crushes were for some reason- and one of them said their crush was Yashiro! And she's mine!-" I sighed before I finished up what to say, "I might be jealous, slightly."

Mr. Tsuchigomori nodded and took in that information. "Well, there's no need to be jealous Hanako. Yashiro is taken by you, there's no need to worry."

I whined a small bit, soon saying, "But what if he confesses to her and she says she likes him back like I'm not dating her!?"

Mr. Tsuchigomori helped me calm down, "She won't do that, just calm down and be yourself, alright?" I nodded and just leaned back on the chair. I didn't know what to talk about now. "Can I look through the books?-" I asked.

Mr. Tsuchigomori nodded as he picked up his book again, "Go ahead, just don't go past the future parts, like usual."

I smiled and got a random book on a student, opening it and skimming through some suff, looking for secrets the person had for no reason. I kind of spent all night in Mr. Tsuchigomori's boundary.
