Her bewildered stare at his lilac eyes was cut off when two old men dressed in a business attire appeared from behind the sofa and a tap of palm from Wakasa's shoulder
"I believe this is as far as you'll go for you two" Mr. Imaushi chuckled, Hyouri felt the embarrassment so she slides off of wakasa and sat comfortably yet shyly beside him, hoping that her dad and his dad didn't just saw what occured on that minutes of sinful pleasure wakasa did to her
"D-dad?" She looked up to see her dad smiling down at her innocently
"Hello my daughter. Are you two enjoying the gala? The special launching announcement for our newest techno designs will be in an hour" Her dad uttered and the two old men sat comfortably on the sofa
"We are, Mr. kintani." Wakasa response in a respectful manner, soothingly answering the old man
"Good because we will be announcing something special too later on. Also, we came here not only to held a casual conversation with you. We're here to ask you a favor" Hyouri and Wakasa glanced at each other for a second before returning their gaze back at Mr. Imaushi's statement
"We would like you to join us on stage after. Can you two do that for us?" Her dad asked, making her puzzled at the same time suspicious
"What? But dad i thought we already talked about this. We were only invited to witness the gala not to be literally a PART of the gala" Hyouri growled and glare at her father who just scratch his neck while laughing awkwardly
"But you and wakasa being a part of this is huge, hyouri. You can't back out now because people will still be looking for you both" Mr. Imaushi added
Hyouri sighed in defeat and looked at wakasa who doesn't seem to faze or startled about the conversation, she furrowed her eyebrows at the thought that his father probably hinted him about this
"You already know about this, didn't you?" She asked, almost instantly he nodded
"It's not like i have any choice either. It's for the best" He uttered and she tilt her head in confusion
"What do you mean by 'it's for the best'?" She asked, utterly clueless by what the hell is going on here
"You see, hyouri. My son will soon inherit my position as a CEO and as a successor, he needs to do his job. He may be a capable man of his age who can handle his own even without carrying such huge title but this is what he needs and it was his mother's wish" Mr. Imaushi claimed which shuts her up
Wakasa held on to her hands tighter, making her looked up at his eyes and his gazes were soft and gloomy. As if he's remembering his times with his mom and the promises he made during his youth
