It happened again. Someone chasing me and Daniel.
But this time he was screaming something unintelligible...I could make out four words from the endless blabber
"You. Are. The. One."
The one. That phrase was stuck in my mind, like a fly stuck in a spiders web.
Maybe my date tonight will help me take my mind of stuff.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Come in."
It was only my best friend Mia.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"So why'd you call me?"
"I need your help deciding what to wear tonight of course!"
"Ugh."
After 3 hours of trying on dress after dress I decided on a crimson flowing dress with gold sparkly shoes.
"Thanks for helping."
"No problem. I have to go do homework but call me after the date!"
Knock. Knock.
I leaped down the stairs and opened the door to find Daniel in a tux.
"Wow. You look...wow." He breathed.
"Good wow?"
"VERY good wow!"
I swear it's her.
I'd been sat at the table for 5 minutes now while Daniel ordered drinks but I swear I keep seeing Laura. Only flashes here and there but I swear she's here.
"Your coke."
"Huh? Oh right thanks."
"Emma? You ok? You look so pale!"
"Yeah. Yeah."
After dinner I nipped to the loo to freshen up because Daniel said he had a surprise for me, and when I got back I knew something was up.
Laura was sat in my seat spoon feeding Daniel. And he was just sat there laughing.
I put a bold smile on my face and strode over.
"Hey Daniel. So what's the surprise?"
"This." And in one fluid motion Daniel leaned over and kissed Laura! In front of me!
"Wha...what?"
"This" and he did it again.
"Why?"
"You see Emma this is love. I don't love you...I love Laura. So yeah...we're over. O. V. E. R."
I couldn't help it. I got so angry I HAD to...I leaned over and slapped him.
"Hey! Don't slap my new boyfriend" Laura said tauntingly.
I know Laura was pretty and all with her slick black hair and bright blue eyes but I really thought Daniel loved me...
