Travis' POV

Nico... Connor... Gods what did I do to deserve this? What wrong have I done to anyone or anything to have the two people I love the most taken from me? Where did I slip up? I hadn't kept an eye on them for a few minutes cause I slept in and this is what happens? Why did this have to happen to me? I just want an answer... No.. I just want them back. The tears never stopped and rain hadn't ceased but I could tell the difference between the two. Just pouring rain all around me and my sobs, that's all I could hear. But then a loud gasp ripped through my silence and the body I was clutching lurched.

"C-Connor? Connor!" I exclaim, pulling off and sitting him up.

He was coughing a lot, some blood coming up as well but not enough to worry. I looked down and saw the stab wound was gone. I didn't care how but gods he was here. He was here and breathing.

"Connor oh my gods." I cry, this time cause I was happy.

"Travis?" He asks, blinking a bit and looking up at me.

"I'm here, I'm here." I say, holding him close.

"I'm not leaving again, I promise." Connor said, shaking slightly.

"Gods I love you." I mumble into his shoulder.

"I love you too." He chuckles.

"What the hell happened?" I ask.

"I'll explain when we find Nico." He reassures and my face drops.

"Connor... Nico he's.. The cabin.." I couldn't say it.

"Travis! Connor!"

I look up quickly. What in the name of Hermes was going on? Nico was grinning, running towards us. I got up quickly and caught him, hugging tightly.

"Please tell me this is all real." I say.

"Of course." Nico smiled.

"We're here." Connor said.

"Someone tell me what the fuck just happened. I thought you both were dead." I snap.

"Well I shadow traveled to the underworld with Jason after the eilodon tried killing us both but then my dad killed it. We saw Connor and I freaked out, telling my dad to bring him back but he refused.. Then Jason.. He.. He switched.. with Connor..." Nico was shaking, tears dripping down his face.

"Always the hero.." I sigh. "At least he won't be alone..."

"What do you mean?" Nico asked.

"Percy's down there with him.." I mumble.

"What?" They both say in shock.

"I didn't fucking care if he was possessed or not. He killed Connor.." I say.

"You.. You killed him?" Nico asked, tears in his eyes.

"I wasn't thinking.. I.." I couldn't find the words.

"Travis.. It's ok.. What matters is that we're here now." Connor said.

I just sighed and looked to Nico, who was wiping the tears from his eyes. I knew why he was crying. I knew perfectly well why. He wasn't crying cause he loved Percy, yet that may be a reason. He was crying cause I killed his hero. Me and Connor hadn't made as big of an impact on Nico like Percy had. And Jason I figured he was gonna be a mess over as well. Nico had told me that Jason was the one he had first confessed to. Gods they were so important to him. During this whole mess it was practically eating him alive and we never even bothered to notice. I killed his hero and then Jason goes and sacrifices himself for Connor. Just so he can make Nico happy. That's all they wanted to do their whole lives. To see a smile on the little death ball's face. Percy never even got to see Nico once the eilodon left cause I stabbed them both. Gods this was a mess. I hugged Nico closely.

"I'm sorry." I whispered and he just started crying all over again.

"Tr-Travis don't.." He began but I stopped him.

"I'm sorry we never noticed. I'm sorry I hurt you so much. I'm sorry this whole thing happened. I didn't want this. I wanted everyone to be ok. I'm sorry I couldn't fix it all in time." I say. "Gods Nico I'm so sorry and I don't care if you don't forgive me. But I care about everything else about you."

He just holds on to me tightly, crying still as I hug him back. Connor gives a small smile, hugging us both.

"I fucked up..." I mutter.

"Yeah, we all did." Connor said. "But no ones allowed to blame just themselves."

"Fine." I sigh.

Connor kisses my cheek. "We'll fix this. And everything will be fine in the end." He assures.

Its been a few days since that whole mess and its clear to me that Nico needs space. He's been avoiding us and practically everyone else, only staying in his cabin unless its to come out and get food, which is still only like once a day and he eats in there. Connor and I have been trying to talk to him but he'd just ignore us both. He wouldn't even look at us. It doesn't help that Chiron keeps trying to talk to him which makes everything worse.

"For the last time, let us handle it!" I say, annoyed.

"If he won't talk to me, he won't talk to anyone." Chiron said.

"That is such a lie." Connor muttered.

"Just.. Let us take care of it." I sighed.

Chiron sighed and trotted off. Connor goes and knocks on the door for the millionth time that day.

"Nico c'mon babe, open up." Connor said.

I try opening the door and was in shock when seeing it wasn't locked this time. We both go in and Connor looks around. Nico wasn't here. I run over to the bed, seeing a note.

You need to stop thinking we're just some weak spirits. We take the opportunity in anyone's time of weakness. Have fun finding him, or should I say have fun finding me?

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I shout.

"What does it say?" Connor asks, coming over.

I give him the note, looking for anything that might help. There was nothing. He was just gone. The fucking thing must've made him shadow travel.

"He.. We need to find him." Connor says, panicked.

I nod my head. The fucking perks of being a demigod.
