Connor's POV

"What about Hazel?" Travis asked.

"N-Not safe. She's not safe.." Nico said, trying to move from my arms but I held him tightly.

"Nico we'll go check up on her when you're rested-" I say.

"No! W-We have t-to go now! They're gonna get her!" Nico yelled, tears forming in his eyes.

"I suggest you go now, I have a bad feeling about this.." Hades said.

Me and Connor nodded as Nico buried his face in my shoulder, pleading us to go now. Hades muttered something and we were shadow traveled to camp Jupiter. Nico hurriedly jumped from my arms and sprinted towards the barracks, looking for his sister. We ran after him, yelling at him to stop. Travis caught up with him, holding him tightly.

"Lemme go!" Nico cried. "I need to find her!"

"There's no way in hell you're doing anything alone. I can see it in your eyes, you're gonna pass out any second." Travis said, lifting Nico into his arms.

Nico let out a small gasp and then sigh in relief. I looked at our surroundings and realized something.

"Guys..." I begin. "Where is everyone?"

"Its about noon.. There should be activities going on." Travis said.

Nico let out a groan and we walked around, looking in all the bunkers. Everyone was just.. Gone. We looked where Hazel usually would be and tried to see if there were any hints or whatever. When nothing was found we went back outside. The fields were barren, no training of any sort going on. We eventually went to the city gate and Terminus was quiet. Frozen there.

"Hello?" I asked.

Silence. A shiver went through my body and we stepped into the city. Still nothing. How could this many people vanish? Every store was empty and there wasn't a single noise besides the slight breeze rattling things or our footsteps. We made our way around, checking everywhere, even going up to the temples. There weren't even offerings or anything. After a bit Nico spoke up.

"G-Guys.." He mumbled. "S-Something was back at the field. P-Put me down.."

"You think they're there?" Travis asked, setting him down.

Nico nodded and we went back over to the field, dead center. He got on his knees and pressed his palms to the ground. The earth shook, opening up around us and when we looked down, there everyone was. Underground... How the hell...

Nico was shaking and Travis lifted him back up. After another minute he knocked out.

"Di Angelo!" Reyna yelled from the pit. "What happened to your sister?!"

"He's not awake at the moment!" I called down.

A lot of people started yelling at us to let them out and me and Travis exchanged a look. Travis ran and put Nico down somewhere safe before going to find stuff. I sprinted to the stables, getting all the pegasi under control before leading them to the pit. They flew down, bringing people up about two or three each. The people freed went to go get ropes and ladders, which Travis came back with a lot of. It took at least an hour or two but the camp was busy once again. When we looked down again, we saw a few people lying there, motionless.

"Suffocated. We were down there for who knows how long." Reyna said, walking up to us. "They'll get a proper burial."

We nodded. "What the hell even happened?" Travis asked.

"It was Hazel." Frank said glumly, walking up to us. "No one knows how she did it. One moment the ground was shaking and everyone was freaking out, the next thing we know we are trapped."

"Dammit." Travis muttered. "Where is she?"

"I don't know.." Frank sighed.

"Guys there's something at Pluto's temple.. I think it may be her." Nico said, limping up to us.

"You need to rest." I mutter and he rolls his eyes.

"I'll rest when my sister is safe." Nico says, going to the temples.

"Nico!" Travis shouts, running after him. "Calm down, she'll be ok."

Nico just nods as the three of us head up there. As expected, Hazel was lying on the ground by one of the shrines, shaking slightly. Nico runs up to her, holding her closely and checking for her pulse.

"Hazel.. Hazel stay with me. I'm here ok? They won't hurt you anymore." He whispered, pulling a vial of nectar from his pocket and dribbling it into her mouth.

She swallowed and started coughing, managing to sit up. I sighed in relief and Travis smiled, going up to help Nico with Hazel.

"N-Nico..?" She asked quietly, voice hoarse. "Th-They said you w-were.. You were dead.." She said, tears in her eyes.

"No, no don't listen to them. They tried but they couldn't." Nico assured. "They can't kill me that easily."

"Hazel drink this for me, I need to make sure you're safe." Travis said, handing her a vial.

She drank it and Nico breathed a sigh of relief, seeing the eilodon was gone. Frank soon came up to us, going to Hazel.

"I've got her, you guys stay safe ok?" He says but Nico seemed unsure.

"There's good gaurds over here. Frank just make sure she takes a sip of this everyday until its gone." Travis said, giving him the potion.

"Be careful." I say as I help Nico up and we leave, Frank soon following with Hazel in his arms.

"It seems too easy..." Nico muttered.

"Don't fucking jinx it." Travis said.

"Oh shut up." Nico rolled his eyes. "Can we just go home?"

"Yeah." I smile. "Let's do that."
