"Lilly, Colonel Rogers is looking for you" another woman who was on sweeping duty told me as I entered the main premises in the morning. "He has asked for you specifically" she said while looking at me sympathetically.
"Who is Colonel Rogers?" I rolled my eyes while imagining a wrinkled old officer.
"I have never seen him" she said "but another girl told me that he never usually asks for ladies in his quarters."
"How does he know me?" I asked her
"He must have picked you off some duty list" She said "Now go. You don't want to be late. You know what happens to girls who come late to work"
"Yeah better be off then" I said putting on a short dress that we maids have to wear when requested personally by an officer in their rooms. "I just hope it's only to light a fire or something" I murmured to myself knowing fully well that we were never asked for by name to light a fire.
After minutes of climbing stairs I finally reached the topmost floor of the building. This guy must really be one of the senior most guys in the gang. Definite old guy. That thought grossed me out. I walked down the narrow hallway looking for room 88F.When I saw it I faltered. Oh my god. What will he make me do? I have never been asked to accompany an officer in their bedroom before. I started to hyperventilate and within moments I blacked out.
I woke up in a huge room, covered with grey walls, in the most comfortable bed I have slept in a long time. I was covered by fresh clean sheets. I quickly checked whether I still had my clothes on under all the sheets. Yes I was still fully clothed. Where the hell am I?
Before I could think of an answer to that question, the door opened and a guy walked in. It was the same guy who got Emily beaten that day by Max. "Um....excuse me where am I?" I asked him.
"You are in the room of the officer who requested you" He said sneering.
"Ok....can you explain it to me how I ended up in his bed?" I asked climbing off the bed
He looked at me for some time and replied "You were found passed out, outside the bedroom. So a water boy brought you here"
So he is a water boy then. It was kind of weird that he referred to himself in third person as "a water boy" but you never know what was happening inside the heads of these workers. Maybe he was instructed to refer to himself in third person. He must be the one who carried me here. "Oh......Ok Thanks."
"For what" he looked at me puzzled.
"For carrying me to this bed" I said "You must be the one that carried me here"
"Oh....um yeah I am. You are welcome" He replied
"Which time do you think Colonel Rogers will be here?" I asked him
"Um...I don't know" he replied.
"I want to know which time that old bastard would be here so that I can finish up with whatever he has in store for me and leave. I really hope what he wants is not to accompany him in bed. But it's not like I can help the situation I'm in. If he wants to then I have to or I'll be killed." I said releasing all the bottled up anger and bitterness I've been holding in for a long time.
He just looked sad.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you like that." I said wiping my tears. "After all you are also stuck here as a water boy serving these pricks"
He just stared at me for a long time. Then he said "Yeah I am stuck here too and there isn't a way for me to get out of it. Looks like I can relate to you on the same level."
"When were you captured and brought here?" I asked him
" I was born here" He said.
