Chained

Chapter 09

"Lilly, wake up. Please." I felt someone shake me softly.

I opened my eyes slowly. "Noah?" I said looking at him with disbelief. He looked at me with deep hurt. Tears were pooling in his eyes. He grabbed me by the shoulders and leaned me on a wall so that I was sitting up.

"I thought he killed you Lilly." He muttered hugging me.

I hugged him back. It was so nice to see a friendly face after spending all that time in isolation. He held me tight to his chest while he was squatting on the floor.

"Noah don't touch me. I'm covered in blood and barf" I said trying to push him away from me. But he held on tighter. "I don't care Lilly. All that I care about is that you are alive and all right"

He had brought a flashlight with him and he switched it on to grab something out of the bag he was holding.

"Noah, how did you get in here? They will kill you if they find out. Please go, I don't want you in any kind of trouble because of me." I said.

"Nothing is going to happen to me Lilly. Don't worry about me. No one knows I'm here. I brought you some food. Please eat. You look so weak" He said as he took out two sandwiches and an apple out of the bag. I wolfed it all down. He had also brought me a bottle of water which I also emptied in no time. He then tore a piece off of his shirt and wet the cloth with some water. He started wiping my wounds softly.

"Lilly I'm so sorry I couldn't come any sooner. I tried looking for you that day after I heard what had happened. But I couldn't ask anyone as it would risk you getting hurt. So I followed the guards around for two weeks until today evening I saw one of them bring you a cup of soup. So I waited until midnight and slipped in here."

"It's really fine Noah. It's nice to know that someone cares about me enough to follow guards around for two weeks." I said giving him a weak laugh. "Can you help me with something Noah?" I asked him.

"What is it, tell me" He said raising his eye brows in question.

"Can you keep an eye on my friend for me please?" I asked. "She is assigned to Max and I'm afraid that he is torturing her. Would you please let me know how she is doing? And also tell her that I'm all right. Don't tell her about where I really am or about what he is doing to me." I said.

"Yeah. I will make sure your friend knows that you are fine. But I don't think that she will be willing to listen to anything I say Lilly. After she got beaten up because of that dumb comment I made that day, I'm pretty sure that she hates my guts" Noah replied.

"Yeah she doesn't like you that much to be honest. But, she knows I trust you and she will listen when you say that you have news about me" I said

"I'll try" Noah said giving me a small smile.

"Thanks Noah." I said

"Lilly I promise that I will come every day until he lets you out of here" He said looking at me sympathetically. "I will bring some food and painkillers for you tomorrow"

"Thanks Noah" I said "How long can you stay?"

"I will wait here until the guard comes for his morning shift. Which is at six. Please try to get some sleep Lilly. I'll be right here."

I lay my head on the ground and closed my eyes while Noah sat cross legged on the floor near the door. I fell into a deep sleep within seconds as I was full and also feeling safe after a long time.
