"How lucky you are Isabella." Grandmother Sarah said as she looked at Isabella who had just had her child a week ago.

"Ma'am?" Isabella asked and her eyes were mostly empty and broken as she looked at the woman she had called Mom at one point in time.

"You had a very healthy son at a younger age than most of the other Moms or Sisters have their children. Not just that but you of all the future Moms have been specially selected to have a second child!" Grandmother said and Isabella's eyes widened at that and her hands fell to her flat stomach subconsciously. Another one? So soon? Another baby she'd be forced to carry and give birth too and never get to see but always know that it was born to die?

"If you're lucky then this one might be a girl. After all if it is a girl and she takes the slightest bit after you then she will certainly be a candidate for a Mom when she's old enough." Grandmother said and she was making the entire situation more appealing to the young Isabella who wasn't even twenty yet.

After all...the chances of survival for a daughter was much higher than for a son and by letting her know that her first child was a boy then Isabella would immediately know he'd never make it past twelve years old if he were lucky. But if she had a daughter then her daughter might just live if she's lucky. Might end up growing up and becoming a Sister or Mom herself.

"I see." Isabella said closing her eyes and understanding everything. A baby girl. One that might survive even if Isabella would never know her daughter as her daughter. It was a very tempting thing, to have another child and pray it'd be a baby girl so that she had a chance.

Besides it wasn't like she could refuse. If she did she'd die and be eaten and she refused to be eaten. She had to live. For her sake, for Leslie's...for her son who she had never seen or would ever get to know.

"Don't act so gloomy Isabella, it's a wonderous occasion! You, the youngest Mom in history, are going to break another record and become the first Mom to have two children of her own before even getting your first assignment." Grandmother said and Isabella pasted her usual small smile on her face.. Inwardly she just wanted to scream and cry. No. Not another baby to be born to be nothing but cattle. At least...at least it wasn't likely she'd ever get to meet her children. She'd never be able to get attached or know they were hers. She'd only be stuck counting down the months and years from their birth until they turn twelve and die.

"And if it is a girl how about I do you a favor? If you do a good job on a plantation I'll tell you on your childs 12th birthday what her number will be and whether or not she is a Mom candidate. If you do better than anyone else I'll sweeten it even more by letting you meet her once and if she survives I'll let her work with you as a helper while she's a Sister." Grandmother said and Isabella nodded ever so slightly. Yes that was far too tempting to pass up. She'd have to be the best at what she does when she gets to the Plantation she'd be assigned to.

Besides, it's not like she could refuse.

"Of course if the child is a boy I'll tell you when he is selected and what his number and name were. That way it's a bit fairer just in case you don't have a girl." Grandmother said and Isabella was already walking to the door since Grandmother was about to leave and was clearly motioning for her to follow. She had no doubts that she'd be taken back to the medical room where she had the chip on her heart put in and be impregnated again.

She was already under the anesthesia while being artificially inseminated when a demon approached the doctor and scientist that were working on Isabella.

"You've done it right?" The demon asked quietly and the two nodded once, fearful almost.

"Yes. There will be no doubt that she'll have a girl this time. We've already got it scheduled for when we'd alter the childs genes just in case it does turn out to be a boy, no matter how unlikely it is." The doctor said and the demon nodded once.

"Good. I'm interested to see how this will all play out. A cursed child from birth...one who is raised as cattle and yet might turn into a predator on her own. It's already been agreed which plantation she will be sent too correct?" The demon asked looking at the scientist now and he nodded his head.

"Yes. As long as it's human in appearance then as soon as it's old enough, the experiment will be sent to Plantation 3. The very one that is slated for this particular Mom to take over in less than a year." The scientist said and he was very much looking forward to this experiment as well. A child of two worlds, two differing and conflicting worlds that were never meant to be merged. A child who's very existence is cursed from before it's birth.

"Good. I can't wait to see how this turns out." The demon said and then settled a large but gentle hand over Isabella's flat stomach.

"I wonder...will you be the kind of prey I seek? The kind that is a hunter in it's own right? The one with the unbreakable fiery spirit and eyes of a killer?" The demon asked his eyes alight with glee and barely suppressed blood lust.

"I never thought we'd try something like this. Never thought to even consider it. A child that's not meant to exist. A piece of food that might turn into more than food. Cattle that may become the master under the right circumstances. Let's test it shall we? And see what this disgusting hybrid becomes when it's raised to be cattle." That Ratari brat, Peter or something like that the Demon thought, said grinning slightly maniacally as he stared at the still unconscious Isabella and more specifically her belly.

"Watch how you speak about that hybrid Ratari. She may be only half demon...but that demon half is still of royal blood." The demon said glaring darkly at the Ratari who gave a shallow bow and mocking smile.

"Of course Grand Duke Lewis. Pardon my harsh words." Ratari was so falsely sincere that Lewis nearly struck him down right there for his arrogance.

"Remember. As long as she is human in shape when she comes out, she shall be raised as a human. No different treatment from the other cattle children. Otherwise this experiment won't be controlled and therefore a good data point." Lewis said sternly and then turned to take his leave, he had to get back to Goldy Pond for the next hunt...but he would be back.

He would come back and see how the hybrid child that he had been ordered to make turned out.

He merely wondered what exactly it was that that tiny but powerful demon was hoping to accomplish with this experiment. Was it simple curiosity on what would happen?

Or something more sinister?

'I'll be back after you are born my child. Let us see then what you are like and how we will go from there my little cursed daughter.'
