Charlotte's POV.
"CHARLOTTE GRACE PARKER! GET OUT OF YOUR BED RIGHT THIS SECOND!" I heard my mum yelling from outside of my room's door.
I groaned and buried my head into my pillows.
"CHAR! GET UP! YOUR GONNA MISS YOUR FLIGHT!" Mum shouted from behind the door. Okay, now she was angry, and right.
HOLYSHIT! I COMEPLETELY forgot that I had a flight to London today.
Groaning with realisation, I shot out of bed, "I'M UP NOW, MUM!"
"COME DOWNSTAIRS FOR BREAKFAST ONCE YOU DONE, GRACEY." Mum said.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." I rolled my eyes and got inside the shower after brushing my teeth.
Oh yeah, I was moving to London for Uni. I applied for so many Universities, but, 'University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)', 'Imperial College Of London', and, 'University of Texas, at Austin', had always been my first choices. Though, my parents advised me to live here with them, in Australia, and attend the 'University Of Melbourne'. But, I declined the offer. You see, my father, was the Dean at UOM, so obiviously, he wanted me to attend his college. I told him, that I didn't want to live in Australia anymore, because I've always wanted to attend Uni at some other country. Also, to my surprise, they agreed. They told me that I was 18, and I could go wherever I wanted to. They've always been so supportive.
Plus, I got scholarship offers from both, UCLA & Imperial College, so basically it was my choice, where I wanted to go. As tempting going to UCLA and living in California sounded, I had a feeling that I should move to the UK. So, I was. I was going to London this evening. I decided that I should study at the Imperial's because as far as I've heard, people say, that the United Kingdom, London, to be more specific is beautiful. Also, one of my cousins, Jake, lived there. He attended the Kings College, though. But, he told me that choosing the Imperial College over UCLA was a wise choice.
Snapping out of my thoughts, I got out of the shower and looked through my walk-in closet. Deciding on a pair of beige shorts and a plain black tank top, I put them on. Walking over to my dresser, I opened the drawer, and took out my favourite necklace, which was a grey owl necklace with black eyes. I put it on and did my make-up. It was nothing much, just some black eye-liner, mascara and nude lipstick. I pulled out the show drawer and slipped on some black laced wedges. Running a hand through my wet hair, I got out of my room, and walked downstairs.
"Good Morning, Char." My older brother, Tyler, smiled at me.
"Morning, Ty." I smiled and kissed his cheek. Sitting next to my mum, I grabbed a toast, some eggs and a piece of bacon.
"Sleep good?" Dad asked.
"Yeah, thanks." I said, pouring a glass of juice for myself and my 12 year old brother, Sean.
As a settled back down in my seat, mum spoke, "So...Charlotte? Are you excited about going and living in London?"
"Yep. Very." I chirped.
"Also to study, mum, she isn't going to have fun the whole time." Sean grumbled. Actually, he was upset about me leaving, he thought that all I was going to do in London, was have fun.
"Of course, mate. She will be studying as well, not only 'having fun', right, Char?" Tyler said, clearly amused by Sean's little grumbling session which has been going on for about a week now.
"Yeah, obiviously. I will also have to study hard. Don't worry, bud." I smiled at my little brother.
"Okay, now eat your breakfast, everyone." Mum scolded her son's and turned to me. "Have you packed everything you need, honey? Clothes, shoes, bags, make-up...?"
"Yeah, I've got everything. Already checked it twice. Although, I'm planning on buying new things when I get there." I smiled and she nodded.
"Ok, everyone, I'm off to work, I'll see you guys in the evening." Dad said looking up from his watch. "Oh, and Charlotte? I won't be able to leave you at to the airport, so I figured Tyler could do it, is that alright?"
I smiled. "Of course, dad." I said as I wrapped me arms around him, snuggling into his chest.
He kissed my hair. "I'm sorry, honey. I would've come with you but I have this huge conference with the Universities' Board." I looked up at him.
"Its alright, dad. I understand." I smiled and kissed his cheek, he smiled back at me and kissed my forehead.
"I'll miss my princess. Call me everyday." Dad said as I pulled back. I nodded.
"I'm gonna miss you, too, daddy."
Dad picked his suitcase and moved out and waved at us from the driveway.
"Okay, kids, I'm going to Maria's for a bit. Don't create a mess, please." Mom said while picking up her handbag.
"Of course, we won't, mum. We're not children." Tyler said while smirking at me & Sean.
"You guys sure do act as ones." She chuckled and got out of the front door.
"Boys, you two can do whatever you want, I'm going for a walk with Chelsea."
"YES!" They both yelled raising their fists as if in victory.
I quickly grabbed my golden iPhone and walked out of the front door and decided to text my best friend.
'Hey, Chels! You up for a walk?' I texted her leaning against the fence.
'Yeah, sure. Gimme two minutes.'
'Meet me on the side walk.'
'Okay!' I smiled and shoved my phone back into my pocket. Just then, I started wondering if I could find myself a handsome British guy in London. You see, I believe in love very strongly. I haven't experienced it yet, though. I've had boyfriends, yeah, but none of them had such a effect that I could fall for him. I've always wanted to know what falling in love feels like. I just hope London could do something in that need.
I snapped out of my thoughts as I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey!" My best friend chirped as I turned to face her.
"Hi, Chels!" I smiled at her as we started walking.
"Man, I can't believe your leaving tonight." She said, as if in shock.
"Yeah, I know. Neither can I."
"I'll miss you so much, Parker! You're not gonna forget me, are you?"
"Of course, not. And yeah, I'll miss you, too."
"Why couldn't you just come to UCLA with me & Madison?" She whined like a child.
"Because I wanted to attend Imperial's, Chelsea. I'm sorry that I can't join you guys in LA."
"Yeah. Don't be sorry, its comepletely alright. It was your choice anyway, not ours."
"Thank you, Chels. Your such a great friend." I smiled and hugged her.
"You, too, Parker." She said as she pulled back.
The rest of the afternoon was spent walking around and talking, and before I knew it, Tyler was driving me to the airport and I was leaving. Leaving my hometown, leaving my country, leaving my family, and friends.
