Striker was moving some of his food about his plate and hadn't eaten much and Lark had watched this movement of food back and forth on the plate.

"No to pry but I doubt you are going to find answers in moving that food about the plate"

Lark says and Striker stops immediately and places his fork down looking to Lark his eyes serious making Lark chuckle.

"It was a joke Striker"

Lark says lightly heartedly and Striker knew this was a dangerous move on his part but he needed to get Lark's guard down.

"What changed?"

Striker asks irritation in his voice and Lark leans back in his chair looking over him.

"You said you were done with my defiance and my screwed up beliefs, what changed?"

Striker says keeping his eyes on Lark who nods running his fingers through his hair expecting that this conversation would need to happen if Striker was ever going to work with him much less forgive him.

"Honestly?"

"Honestly"

Striker parrots back so Lark slides back his chair to stand.

"Well the warden did come sniffing around and was saying things I don't like, I knew that if I didn't want to loose you again then I would have to play a little nicer"

Lark says honestly walking towards Striker his claws lightly scratching the table. Lark tone put him on edge seeing the real him once more not the nice playful imp who had been wearing his skin, Striker stays seated keeping his eyes on him.

"I never liked you when we were first got married, you didn't appeal to me at all, you were weak, submissive and generally down right pathetic"

Lark says honestly walking right up to Striker who pushes his chair out a little to be front facing to Lark. He leans on the table looking down at Striker with narrowed eyes.

"When you first arrived back I could see some appeal from your appearance, now I look at you definitely know it was not accident I feel that way because it's not just your appearance"

Lark honestly comments making Striker's eyebrow raise in surprise at this new information and he was honestly slightly flattered and insulted at the same time. Lark chuckles lightly at Striker's expression leaning a little more forward.

"It's like having someone completely new, someone strong so sure of themselves not the small weak little girl that was thrown at me all those years ago"

Lark says reaching for Striker who slaps his hand away Lark growls grabbing Striker's neck who grips the hand holding his neck with firm claws, Lark grins his eyes glancing over Striker with a lustful gaze.

"That fire in you is stunning"

Lark purrs leaning closer leaning up Striker's head angling him in the right way closing their mouths together Striker huffs against Lark his hands gripping Lark's shirt as he pulls him out his seat. Their lips separate Striker panting slightly from the crash of a kiss Lark grins using an arm throwing Striker's plate and side plates off the table out of way with an loud crash before shoving Striker up to sit on the table. Striker grabs a fist full of hair and shirt pulling the other between his legs their lips locking once more in heated and fast kisses. Their tongues rolling over eachother in pure lust Lark grabs his legs pulling their hips flush Striker's legs wrap around his hips keeping them close.
