CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX FLEA-INFESTED MUTTS

Christmas break wasn't very interesting other than finding out that the Black Hood was caught and on top of that, he was the janitor from Riverdale High. None of her friends were shocked to hear the news. When Jason Blossom was murdered, the Northside accused the Southside even though it was a Northsider who committed the crime. And when the Black Hood started killing people on a mission to cleanse the town of sin, the Northside pointed the finger at the Southside once again and just like last time, it was a Northsider raising Hell. Luna wasn't surprised either. The Northside continued to blame the Southside and then acted surprised when it was someone from their own side of the tracks.
"Northsiders are so gullible," Sweet Pea said and Luna hummed as she took a sip from her energy drink.
"Between the murder of Jason Blossom and the Black Hood's reign of terror, one thing Northsiders continued to do was accuse the Southside and act so shocked when they find out it was actually one of them. You'd think after last time, they'd use common sense and maybe think 'hey, it might not be a Southsider, it's possible it could be a Northsider' but no, because they would rather keep having this bullshit image of themselves where they're all innocent, they're all the victims and we're the bad guys," she ranted.
"Remember when Andrews posted that video? What did they call themselves again?" Sweet Pea asked.
"The Red Circle," Luna answered. "God, that whole ordeal was a disaster but at least you got to punch Andrews."
"And I walked out with a black eye," Sweet Pea scoffed.
"Attention, Southside High students. Due to a public health hazard, Southside High will be shut down and students will be transferred to other schools in the district. Emails have been sent to all students and parents and you should be able to see where you will be transferred while the building is quarantined. With that being said, students must leave the premises immediately. That is all," the principal said through the PA and Luna and Sweet Pea pulled out their phones.
Luna checked her email and saw a new message from the Southside High staff and opened it to see which school she would be going to since Southside High was going to be shut down and quarantined. She had no idea where this sudden health hazard came from but the idea of going to a different school sounded very appealing to her, as long as her friends would be there with her. When she read the email, the words Riverdale High stared right back at her and she looked at Sweet Pea.
"Which school are you going to?" she asked.
"Riverdale High," he answered.
"Shit, me too!" Luna smiled as she looked at the list of names of the other students that would be going to Riverdale High. She saw Rosalie's name and her friends names on it too. "Rosalie, Maya, Kai, Naomi and Peyton are going there too."
