(Sam's Room)
Samantha Parker and Andrew Largeman sat cross-legged on her bedroom floor, drinking blue cream soda and chilling out. They were more than just friends now.
The bedroom had an indie rock vibe to it. The walls were a hot pink, part of it covered by music posters. A Kurt Cobain singing figure stood on Sam's nightstand. Coldplay's A Rush Of Blood To The Head album played on her studio.
Andrew speaks up. "You sure your mom is okay with us drinking these in here?" He asked, with concern of the beige carpet he sat on. He had a feeling blue didn't go so well with beige. Sam's mom didn't know about the blue sodas.
Sam just shrugged, her brown eyes looking down at her lap as she held her blue creamed drink. Suddenly, she shifted her legs, and taps Andrew's feet with her left sneaker. "I know I shouldn't be drinking too much of these because of my epilepsy... but to be honest, Andrew, I don't fucking care." She joked as she got up and took a seat at the end of the bed. She motioned him to come sit next to her. He did so. There was silence for a moment between the two, until Andrew looked back at the Kurt Cobain poster on the right side of the room.
Sam thought her boyfriend had forgotten about her for a moment. "Andrew? You alright?" She asked.
"You like Kurt Cobain?" Andrew asked, still distracted by the poster that depicted the late rock star. Nirvana was a popular band that formed in the 80s, but they didn't become so big until 1991, when their second album Nevermind sold millions.
Even after Kurt Cobain died, Nirvana stayed popular.Sam nodded. "He was my childhood idol. I was 10 when he passed away. Left me devastated the rest of my school years." She explained.
"My dad thinks Nirvana is overrated. I think he's just plain wrong. Nirvana sold billions." Andrew explained. "What does your mom think?"
Sam shrugged. "She doesn't care. I mean like, she's not a fan, but she doesn't really give a shit if I listen to them. I'm a grown ass lady now. She can't control me now."
"I honestly wish I could say the same about my father." Andrew thought to himself.
