"I'm telling you Ophelia, this'll be fun," Tobias gentley smiled at his girlfriend Ophelia, holding both of her soft hands in his. He rubbed his thumb along the inside of her palm and glanced at her emerald green eyes.
Tobias had been planning this trip for a very long time for him and his girlfriend of five years. He rented a wooden cabin in the woods to stay for the weekend of their three year anniversary. He thought Ophelia would be ecstatic for this small vacation. After all, she had been complaining about working for months now.
Ophelia looked into his warm auburn eyes hesitantly. Her hands were shaking and her breathing had turned heavy. Tobias could feel how anxious she was the moment he told her the news. He was trying to calm her down and reassure her nothing would happen on this vacation. It was meant to be a just them moment.
"I'm scared of us being alone in the woods" She gasped. Ophelia shook worse and did not trust the woods at all. She had heard of the horror stories and seen movies in that exact setting. Murder happened all the time in the woods and she did not want her and Tobias to be victims of this circumstance.
Tobias furrowed his eyebrows and frowned. "Don't worry, we'll be okay. I just want time together since we are always working. If you don't want to go that's okay but I really want to go," He lifted up her hands to his mouth and lightly kissed her hand. "It's all up to you," He was hoping she chose to go. He had already made the reservation so her request of going somewhere else would be a hassle.
Ophelia looked down and frowned. She really did not want to go. Just thinking about being there gave her shivers. However, she did want to please Tobias. He did not have bad intentions at all. He only wanted to give her a break from work so they could spend time with each other. "If you promise nothing will happen to us, then I will go," she could not look him in the eye. She felt so uneasy it made her nauseous.
Tobias's smile grew to a full toothy grin. He seemed to glow with happiness. "Nothing will happen," He gleamed. Tobias could tell her heart was not into this vacation, but all he needed was vocal approval. He was going to give her a time she will never forget.
"Pack your bags, we're going to the cabins," He let go of her hands immediately to pack his clothes for this trip. She had never seen him so excited before. Weird. Ophelia stood up as well to go put her clothes and essentials in a suitcase. She had a bad feeling about this trip but she trusted Tobias to comfort her about it.
