Stephan Riccardo did not know how to make it more obvious that he did not care about the cries of his sister. Angrily, Aurora ruined the décor of her room and spat out every curse. She kept throwing tantrum looking outraged. But Stephan turned a blind eye to it. He watched with a look of boredom as she lost the remaining ounce of her sanity.
"I hate you, Stephan!" Aurora screams but flinches after hearing her brother's response to her confession.
"I am too busy to care what you feel for me. Make sure that you clean up this whole mess or there will be no food for you tonight."
When did he come here?
Aurora shakes her head, deciding that this is the rare opportunity to act stubborn. He had already heard everything, so there was no need to hide.
"Then, forget about the food forever not until you clean this shit up. Also make sure that you pack everything. I am sending you back to France." Aurora slumps down on the floor and pulls her knees to her chest, crying loudly.
Angelo was the only one who ever showed affection to her but Stephan was completely opposite of him. Aurora hated her own brother more than she could ever imagine.
Stephan still did not care.
He slams the door of her room shut, leaving her alone.
On the other side, Athena is trying to memorize her ways around the mansion. She plans on getting out of here soon and for that, she needs to get familiar to this place first. It is not going to be easy but Athena does believe in herself.
Next weekend morning, Athena comes out of the room but she keeps feeling this weird pain in her stomach since the early hours of morning. She could not even sleep good yesterday night due to this. This pain is not helping her anxiety a bit.
While descending down the stairs, her eyes meets Luciano's back. He is standing in the middle of the staircase and talking to someone on the phone.
Almost like feeling her presence behind him, he tilts his head back to look at the young girl. He gives her a small smile but it only takes a second for his expression to change as he notices a sullen look on her face.
"Are you ok?" He asks her while abruptly hanging up the call and touches her forehead to check her temperature. Not surprisingly, she is a little warm.
Luciano grabs her small hand in his and leads her directly to the dining hall without a word. His brothers are already present there including the oldest Vincenzo too. Athena quickly glances away from him before her eyes could make contact with his.
Luciano gently pushes Athena on the chair and calls the maid. He tells her to bring some food for Ahena but she shakes her head, refusing. Suddenly the pain and discomfort in her stomach has grown a bit.
Athena refuses to eat anything and just lays her cheek on top of the cold surface of the table. Luciano begin to run his fingers on her scalp, making her feel a little relaxed and soothing her nerves a bit. Within few seconds, Athena is out like light.
"Is she ok?" Romeo asks with furrowed brows.
"A little warm but nothing looks serious. Maybe she is just tired. Many things had happened yesterday. That girl Aurora almost tried to kill her. I think Athena just needs some time. Let her rest for a bit." Luciano suggests back in a worried tone.
Vincenzo simply nods his head and others also silently agrees. Carefully, Luciano picks her up in his arms and takes her back to her room/Ariana's room.
14 hours!
14 hours rolled on with the blink of eye but Athena still looked in deep sleep. Tonight, only Vittorio was present in the mansion. He was also planning on going to this party but Vincenzo ordered him to stay here with Athena.
It was the time of midnight, when Athena's eyes flutter opens. She whines tiredly, feeling painful and gut wrenching cramps in her stomach. It immediately gets Vittorio's attention who is laying on the couch of her room and texting someone on the phone.
He puts his phone down on the table and makes his way over to her bed. Athena looks up in his eyes. There are tears of grievance present in her eyes as if someone has wronged her.
"Are you ok?" He asks her and places his hand on her forehead. Again a little warm but nothing big. She nods her head a little while trying to ignore the pain.
"Go and freshen up a bit. I will call someone to arrange your dinner." Athena nods her head again at his words.
Therefore, Vittorio skids out of her room.Feeling a bit ounce of strength in her, Athena sits up on the bed and finally gathers some courage to get out of the bed. She shivers a bit at the feeling of the freezing floor making contact with her feet.
She unconsciously glances at the uncovered bedsheets and her eyes widens in horror. Her hands begin to tremble in fear as she looks down at the blood which stained the sheets. There is just too much blood, looking exactly like some crime scene and the sight is enough to make her stomach churn in an extremely uncomfortable way.
