Why can't we just sit still?

"Mom! Why are we packing, AGAIN?!"
"Hm? Oh, you know why. Why can't you just follow me wherever I go? Why do you have to be so disobedient all the time? Just hurry up and pack. We are going to the States tomorrow," Mom explained.
"Th-The STATES?! Why there? From Japan to Europe to Africa to the United Kingdom to even Egypt then back to Japan, and now the United States! Wow, I can die happily now," I said sarcastically.

My mother just ignored me, and just kept packing clothes into the delivery boxes. Frustrated as I was, I marched up to my room, slamming the door behind me. I plopped down onto my bed. Then a soft knock came from the door.

"What?" I said lousily.
My little sister, Yukki came into the room.
"I uhh, just wanted to see how you were," she said very softly.

Even though she's 12, she acts more of an adult than my mom. I nodded smiling, to show Yukki that something like this won't mind me at all, but actually I could've told her billions of reasons why I disliked moving for the 5th time. Especially to the States.

I've heard many things about the U.S. How they discriminate other races. Even though we look Asian, we speak clear English like it's our first language. Well, my sister that is...

I went down stairs with a big package of clothes and books to the delivery truck. I wonder what state we're going to. I thought to myself. I saw my mom trying to move a big black bag of utensils onto the truck. Setting down the box of clothes I had in my hand, I went to help my mom. I could see her hands whiten from the struggle of holding the bag up. I held the bag on my shoulder to bring it to the truck.

After 2 hours of packing, we had finally finished. Nothing was in the home we used to live in. Just the echoes of our voices bouncing off the walls. We went to a nearby hotel to stay the night. I looked out the hotel's window to watch the stars shine in the dark sky. Like every time we moved, I made a wish that we would make it through in another country.

I opened my crusted eyes to see the brightness of the daylight. New day huh? I thought to myself. I got up and pulled on my shirt and pants. I looked over to my mom and sister, but....

"Where are they?" I said frantically. They couldn't have just left me, right? I got up to check the bathroom, nope. I looked out the door to see if my mom's car was there, nope. Where did they go. I went to the front desk to see if the manager knew where they went, but she had no idea. I went back to the room. Putting my face on my hands, I was not crying. I was frightened.

But then, I heard the door open. I looked up, and saw my sister looking down at me.

"What's wrong brother?" She said with her sweet voice. I looked up at her, and because of my "cool" attitude, I said, "Pfft, where were you two?"

"Oh we just went to buy breakfast." Yukki said holding up Burger King in her hand. My mom had entered the door, and said closing the door, "Eat up, we are leaving right after you've eaten." I gobbled down my food in 2 minutes, and went to the bathroom to clean up.

I'm not the cutest boy in the world. I have big hideous glasses with mean black eyes. I looked like a nerd, but I'm not smart at all. Yukki is actually smarter than me. She's even in the same grade as me in her young age, but I'm lucky she doesn't brag about skipping 3 grades. Yukki and I are in our Freshman year in High School. It's pretty embarrassing to have a little sister surpassing me in academics. I'm not the brightest kid actually. I wear black almost everyday. While my sister wears clean bright clothes.

We reached the airport in 45 minutes. I wasn't very excited, since I've been to the airport a lot. Our plane hasn't arrived yet, so we just sat on the benches. I was on the floor charging my phone, when suddenly someone plugged out my charger. I looked to see who it was, and there sat a boy around my age, maybe a bit older, sitting next to me.
