So I've already been in my new house one day and have already exposed my powers to everyone. But it confused me as to why they weren't terrified of me. I mean I just summoned a ball of water, caused the earth to shake and changed my appearance into different animals as well as colors. But Chase said something about me being bionic like them. I hadn't thought bionic people were capable of being created. Mostly since I didn't think science was that far developed.
"I'm not bionic. I was born like this," I stuttered slightly shaking as Donald came over to me with a small device in his hand. He put both hands up to assure me that he didn't mean harm.
"I'm not going to hurt you Kaylynn I just want to check something," he says and I nodded before stepping forward a bit. He came over and waved the device behind my neck looking for something.
"She's right there is no chip being picked up from anywhere in her body," he informs them with a confused look. And they all looked baffled just like my parents did when they discovered what I could do.
"What did he mean by them being bionic. I hadn't thought such thing to be possible?" I asked finally calming down once I realized they weren't going to call the FBI on me.
"Oh well I was able to make it work. Because I'm awesome. Anyway once I found a way to put it into humans I created Adam, Bree and Chase then trained them to go on missions to save the world. Using their bionics for good," he explained looking proud of himself.
"You weren't kidding about the ego thing," I mumbled to Chase who laughed.
"No I wasn't," he says with a smirk "just wait it'll get worse," I giggled while shaking my head.
"Come down to the lab Kay and we'll show you what we can do if you show us what you can do," Bree says looping her arm with mine, leading me off.
"I'll have Adam take your bags to your new room," Tasha says before I'm out of sight.
Bree lead me over to a plain wall and lifted up a painting, pushing a button that was hidden behind it. The wall seemed to phase away revealing a metal door with Davenport's logo on it. The others came up behind us.
"So you have your own Bat cave," I say geeking out over everything. A bright smile on my face.
"That's what I said when I discovered the lab by mistake. I thought he was Batman," Leo says as we stepped inside laughing at my reactions.
"Pff he's definitely not batman. More like Tony Stark, I'd say," I replied earning laughs from the kids "I like Marvel more than DC,"
"Oh who would we all be if we were in Marvel?" Leo asked as Adam joined us and we began to descend. I looked them over not taking much to think about it and smiled with what I came up with.
"Um just by looking Bree would be Black Widow, Chase would be Captain America, Adam would be Hulk or Thor and you would be Antman," I replied earning a look from Leo at my comment.
"Haha get it because you're tiny," Adam says nudging Leo who glared at us as we laughed at him.
It didn't take long before the elevator and I could tell from my powers that we were well below the ground. The doors opened to reveal a state of the art lab filled with all kinds of tech. The geek in me was definitely coming out as I smiled widely. I spent most of my youth at dig sites so the smallest things excite me.
Once I calmed down they began showing me all the things they could do. Adam showed off his incredible strength as well as his heat vision and plasma grenades which was awesome. Then Bree showed off her super speed, agility. All of which were really cool.
Lastly Chase showcased how he utilises his super intelligence by solving an insanely difficult problem in a few seconds. Then showed off his forcefield that was incredibly cool as well as used his molecular kinesis to deflect something Adam threw at him. Each ability was just as cool as the last.
"That would have to be the coolest thing I've ever seen and my parents used to find incredible things from their dig sites," I state with the biggest smile since this was the coolest thing ever. Who would've thought bionic humans were possible.
"What's the best thing they found? In your opinion," Chase asked curious since he happened to be the smartest guy on earth and probably was interested in things like archeology.
"Oh the dinosaur bones were awesome but there were these burial chambers from Greek times that were great. They had old pottery and other trinkets inside," I explained and we both began nerding out. Talking about our interests in the ancient mythologies.
"No I need a girly friend who'll come to the mall with me and get our nails done," Bree says walking over to us, she gently put her hands on my shoulders giving me a shake "I don't need another Chase,"
Luckily Adam pried her off before she could shake me too much. Meanwhile I decided to scare her by using my powers to turn into Chase. Her eyes widened as they couldn't tell which was which.
"Ok that's creepy," Leo says glancing between the both of us.
"I can also sound just like him too," I replied causing their eyes to bulge more while Chase laughed as I turned back into myself.
"She's like a real life version of your cyber masks big D," Leo states once everyone got over their shock. With that done with, I showed off my other abilities.
To start off I summoned a blaze of fire into my hands shaping it into crazy animals, then did the same with water using my ice powers to crystallize it into a rose. After that we went outside into a secluded area in the woods, where I summoned minerals from the earth below. They were at a loss for words when I opened my hand to reveal a small cluster of amethyst crystals. To top it off I walked around the clearing bare foot smiling at the flowers that bloomed where my feet touched the grass.
"Wow Kay that is incredible," Bree says as I put my shoes back on. I smiled at her, happy to have people to share my secret with and knowing they'd keep it. We all walked back inside to see Tasha preparing dinner. It was nice to actually sit down for a home made meal since I use to live on take out.
"Oh I've enrolled you at the kids school sweetie. You start tomorrow," she says seeing me with the others, my heart jumped slightly at the statement.
"Um I've never been to school. Mom and dad said it wasn't safe because my emotions trigger my powers what if I get discovered?" I questioned getting worked up. That was until a comforting hand was placed on my shoulder.
"Relax, we'll watch out for you Lynn," Chase says and I felt myself blush at the nickname. Nobody really called me Lynn it was always Kay. But I loved the way it rolled off his tongue. Gosh look at me, I'm so socially awkward.
"Yeah we will. Sometimes we glitch from our emotions so we know how to help you from triggering anything," Bree reassured making me feel better. And with my mind slowly easing we sat down for dinner.
I think I'm going to like it here....
