A spider crawled slowly but surely up the blue wall.

Sandip Chaudhry ducked Noah's head in one more time. Peter, his partner in crime, laughed as he reached over and flushed. Noah felt his nose and eyes burn.

"He likes it!" Peter laughed, punching Sandip's arm lightly. "He doesn't even struggle anymore!"

Sandip said nothing. His gray eyes were still and dull.

After a minute, he pulled Noah's head up again, listening as Noah coughed and gasped for air.

"One more time," Peter said, grinning. Sandip hummed in response, pushing Noah down again. Bubbles filled Noah's glasses. He barely had time to hold his breath.

A minute became two. Peter reached over and pushed on Sandip's hand, and Noah's lungs began to burn. Sandip nudged Peter off, and then pulled Noah up again.

The spider was gone. Strangely, Noah felt just a little bit lonelier.

"Pete!" Someone yelled. It was Frankie, the freshman goon that followed Sandip and Peter around, his voice still high in pitch. Peter turned around, grin undisturbed. "Someone's coming!"

"Oh, shit," Peter said, putting his hand on Sandip's shoulder. "Let's go."

Sandip nodded and pushed Noah's head away, eyes narrowed. "Fine."

"Later, Semen," Peter laughed as the two of them ran off, slamming the stall door behind them.

Noah slumped over to the side, breathing heavily. "Seaman" said to himself, wiping his cheeks of the toilet water, only to find red left on his fingertips. He let out a tired sigh.

He adjusted adjusted his glasses, and the bottom of his frames dropped onto his lap.

"You okay?" Someone said, quietly. Noah looked up. He could see the person's Doc Martens peaking under the stall door, waiting gingerly. "Do you need help?"

The voice was soft and kind. Too kind.

"I'm fine." He snapped, frowning. "Get away from me."

The person went silent. Noah waited for the Docs to walked away— preferably in a rush— but they didn't. The person didn't move.

"Get. Away," Noah gritted out. His face, he felt,  was getting hot.

"I saw them leave," the voice whispered. "There are people here that are horrible. But... not all of us are like that. I promise."

Now the tears were pouring down. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" Noah yelled, and the Docs told a step backwards. Noah put his hand up and wiped his face so hard it hurt. "JUST GET AWAY ALREADY!"

The Docs finally walked away, leaving Noah alone with not even a spider. Just his thoughts.
