9. Wandering Eyes

Jack's POV
It was 1 in the afternoon when me and Darrin woke up from our nap. Darrin had gotten dressed and decided to head over to Peyton and Wayne's hotel. I was gonna  meet up with them a little bit later, but I had some stuff to take care of first.

I went to the bathroom and took a few pictures in the mirror. Damn, my body looks good! I sent a few to my boo back home and obviously he likes them. I'm a bad bitch. 😌

After my mini flirt sesh, I get ready and head downstairs. Peyton and Wayne's hotel wasn't too too far from ours so he just biked all the way there. I took our car  because I had some shopping to do. Some of it was souvenirs but most of it was for Darrin. It's his birthday today.

He doesn't like to talk about it much because it's SEVERELY traumatizing for him, but i still like to get him a few things just to let him know that I still support him. He hasn't told Wayne or Peyton yet but he's slowly starting to open up. He and I actually have been friends for a long time now.

Nobody really knows about what Darrin's gone through because of how much he laughs and puts on a positive front but on the inside and around me, he's broken. Sometimes I hear him crying at night from nightmares or a panic attack. And yes, he is seeing a therapist but it's kinda shitty.

they prescribe him literal drugs. He hasn't touched any of it, but I can tell he thinks about it at certain times when I'm not around or when he thinks I don't notice him. I kinda worry about him though cuz he has these weird sperts of talking, but he's not on the phone.

It's kind of like him answering to a voice in his head. I don't know what it's called, but I do know it's been brought up by his family and other close friends of his.  Me on the other hand, I haven't really experienced anything really bad or painful, but i try to be there for him as best as i can.

After i finish shopping, I'd texted him letting him know i was on my way. After a few minutes, I pull up to their hotel and wait for them to come down. I put on some music to pass the time.

Suddenly I'm interupted by a knock on the window. "Excuse me, do you know how i can get to Manhattan?" It was an older guy, looked to be in his late 20s to early 30s, and lightskinned. Also he was smoking hot.

"Oh yeah, just look for any trains heading to Manhattan. Best way there is to go at 3:00 pm. Less people and  less chaos." i say chuckling a little.  "Ok, thanks!" he says. "No problem!!" i say back.

Suddenly my phone rings and it's my boo. "Hey boo! what's up??" i say. "Thanks for giving my brother directions." he says absolutely dying of laughter. My eyes go wide in shock.

"THAT SCRUMPTIOUS MEAL OF A MAN IS YOUR BROTHER???!!!!" i say screaming.
"Yeah babe! We get our looks from our father." he says laughing again.

"Well you're welcome hun." i say. "When you gettin' down here? i miss you!!" i say whining a bit. "Actually, I'm looking at you right now." he says with evident smirk in his voice. "Baby, you're all the way at home. How could you possibly be looking at me?" i say giggling.

"Well why don't you look right next to you?" i look across the street and there he is looking fine as fine could be. I immediately get out and run to him. "Hey  my little Winnie!! he says hugging me tightly.

"Hey daddy! When did you get here?" i say excitedly. "Around last night, i wannted to surprised you!" he says wearing the biggest smile. "Uh Jack, you gonna introduce us??" Peyton screams at me breaking me out of my thoughts.

We cross back to the other side of the street and pack our things up for our outing. "Oh right! Baby, these are my friends. This is wayne with the dreadlocks, Darrin standing next to him, and the cutie with the nice nails is Peyton!" i say. "Guys, this is my boyfriend Robert!" i say proudly.

"Hey nice to meet y'all." Robert says shaking their hands. "Same here." Peyton says while giving me the 'oh my god' face.
Today was gonna be a real good day.
