Luffy sat on a rock listening to what Reyleigh was saying, well. Not really. "Reylieghhhh, I'm starving can we eat yet?" Luffy whined while crossing his arms. "Luffy, I told you to listen or progress would be slow." Reyleigh was so done with Luffy already. It had been less than 3 months. Since there were so many distractions, but Luffy was so quick to learn.. And there goes Luffy. He saw something 'shiny'. A quick chill swept the air as afternoon slowly turned into evening. Luffy was playing with the 'shiny' or.. bug? It was some species of insect, beetle maybe. Eventually Luffy became bored, a long, long, eventually. It was nightfall by the time Luffy gave up on his 'shiny'. Reyleigh had already eaten and gone to bed. Luffy, of course being the man he is, fell asleep while eating.
The next morning was also uneventful. Wake up. Eat leftovers. Train. Eat second leftovers. Train. Lunch. Train. Distraction. Eat again. Distraction. Eat dinner. Sleep. Thats every day for Luffy currently. Reyleigh noticed Luffy does well in the mornings, but in the afternoon.. well, he slacks off more than a teenager working at a bar. Its clear Luffy wants to be better, he just. Can't. His attention span plummets after lunch. So Reyleigh, being the rational man he is cuts Luffy the slack he needs, just enough to make sure he trains for 3 hours after lunch. That 3 hours is nothing compared to the morning, between breakfast and second breakfast he trains for 2, then between second breakfast and lunch he trains for 5. Reyleigh noticed Luffy does not eat as much as it seems, he eats.. less. If thats how Luffy normally eats there shouldn't be a problem with eating an average size meal. But its Luffy. There is no end to his stomach. Right?
There was gagging coming from behind one of the trees. Luffy was gagging behind one of the trees. Reyleigh didn't want to see anything, so he asked, "You alright? Luffy?" The gagging stopped, something shuffled, Luffy appeared from behind the trees. He was looking pale, guilty, worried, all sorts of emotions clouded his face. Luffy, normally cheery, happy, and optimistic.. was, making himself throw up, at least.. That was the only conclusion Reyligh could come to. "Was- Did you do that on purpose?" Reyleigh began, but stopped, he trailed off, as before he finished Luffy began to cry, nodding. "Um- Hey, theres not much I can do but ask, why?" Reyligh asked the simple question, hoping for no reply. There was a hiccup, "I- feel useless.. everyone is always saving me and.." He stopped to sniffle, "I can't ever help them, can I?" Luffy asked a rhetorical question. 'can I?' Reyleigh never replied, he only pulled Luffy in for a hug.

Reyleigh decided to pull a favor. "Yeah, when can you get here by?" There was a low murmur on the other side of the snail. "I see," Reyleigh sighed, "That soon?" The murmur came across again. "Ah, no take your time, if anything come quicker." Reyleigh said into the 'phone'. Luffy was eating, not much, but still eating, he was listening to the conversation over the snail. The voice was familiar, like he had heard it many times. Strange. When Reyleigh hung uo the 'phone' he mentioned to Luffy, "Don't forget, 2 days from now someone is coming. I will go out to meet them, you will stay at camp. They are coming to help, when they arrive I will leave." Reyleigh stood from his spot in the whittled chair. He watched Luffy for a while. After some time Reyleigh walked away leaving Luffy to eat the remainder of his small lunch. During this time Luffy was considering all the possibilities of who was coming to 'visit'.
It was a few days before something showed up at the shore, a submarine.
"Hello?" The voice of someone rang through the woods. This startled Luffy, who was busy working on observation haki, Reyleigh left him to train on his own with the animals, the voice called again, "Reyleigh?" Luffy recognized the voice, but wasn't sure who. Reyleigh was a mysterious guy, when Luffy was training on his own he was no where to be found, but during meals he always was there to make sure a certain someone ate. But of course, when a mystery man appears on the island Reyleigh is no where to be found.
