My only remorse was that I didn't get a chance to know you as deeply as I wanted to. I want to know what you think. I want to know how you feel. I want to know all your secrets.

Her face brighten up as our eyes met. It was my 4th stop at Mikasa's family house and knowing how much closer we were, Mikasa instantly ran towards me before we fled towards the tree near the river together.

"I wish there's more but that's all to it..." I drew my hand back from the book I promised to bring for Mikasa. She looked troubled after that, so I scooted closer to her and she began to move her fingertips towards to torn page. Knowing what she was about to say, I continued, "Yes... That's how I got beat up last time too..." I stared at a blank space, thinking about me and Armin protecting the precious book. She gazed closely at me, examining my face. Anyone could really see the concerns on her face. "I'm okay, it's been a week," I assured her about the bruises. "How about you? Your wrist still hasn't healed?" I questioned as I glanced at the bandage around her wrist that I had seen since about a month ago. She covered that bandage fast and seemed even more worried than before.

"T-this... this isn't an injury..." She looked down and pulled her right arm closer to her.

I allowed myself to wonder for a bit, "Come to think of it, your Mom has it too... The bandage,"

"Y-yeah..."

I watched her closely, "Is it a secret?"

She gave a slight nod, "Mom said not to show it to anyone..."

"That's cool. I wish I had a secret too..." I turned my body towards the river and rested my hands behind me to relax. I could feel her glancing towards her house before she unraveled her bandage slowly. I glimpsed at what she was doing and then at her frightened face, she covered the top of her wrist with her palm and looked at me who already swiveled my body back at her.

"Is it okay for me to see...?" I gently asked.

"Y-yes... But don't tell anyone... Not even Armin..."

I nodded before she removed her other hand and showed it to me. I held her hand to take a closer look at it.

A circle tattoo of three swords.

I didn't know what it was supposed to represent at all. And why did she has it. But for her to possess it even when she was still a little kid. I knew it holds a bigger picture about her life.

"Did it hurt when you got it?"

"Yes... Very..." I caressed the tattoo with my thumb and didn't realize how red her tiny face was until I glimpsed at it. She withdrew her hand and began wrapping it again with the bandage.

"I like it." I confessed after I already made sure that she couldn't see my face. My complexion suddenly turned red without me even knowing and my heart was thumping really fast.

I looked at her. No. Actually, towards her house behind her. When I knew no one was gonna come out from there, I watched her lips and bravely kissed them. As soft as I could.

I pulled away after a few seconds and could feel our faces get really hot when they were still close to each other.

"E-eh...?" She rounded her eyes while my eyes felt droopy after that one kiss.

"I-I'm sorry..." I apologized as I stared at her eyes with visible guilt.

I waited for her to calm down for a bit as both of us froze in place. When I saw the flush on her cheeks began to fade, I tilted my head once more and pressed our lips together.

Longer this time. And she didn't try to escape or break our kiss.

It was delicate. It was pure. It was everything that I hoped for.

I moved away once more just so I could see her expression. All I could learn from it was that she didn't hate it. And I'm glad.

I couldn't stop eyeing her when she just remained there with her mouth closed. But then I got distracted by the strong breeze that blew over us. Moving her hair back and forced her to stare back at my eyes.

"Mikasa... I think we should go back..." I said faintly to break the silence.

"U-um... Y-yes..." She fluttered. I held her hand to drag her back to her cabin.

"Mikasa... Do you like it?" I questioned her as I saw my Dad waving his hand at us.

"...Mhm..." I didn't see it but I knew she nodded.

I smiled at her, "I'll see you again soon, okay?"

"Y-yes!" She shouted brightly.
