.
three days passed. times goes so fast as both of them are busy with their project that should be done before the new semester start.
they haven't talked that much. just like before, when their first month after marriage. everything happen in the past day, feel like everything was just a dream. could say aeri started to feel the emptiness but it's better if they keep their relationship like this.
aeri was about to start her new mission, she don't want him to love her more than he does. he might not tell her but she knows. it'll affect him for sure.
right now, she's busy with her new project in the living room. thanks to heeseung, she's gaining a new idea of where she got from the day he bought her to the zoo.
it's kinda hard to find a copy like a snake's skin, she also uses a panda as her new dress. overall, she's satisfied with her work.
"woo, my baby!" someone shouted from the main door. heeseung called her baby? what a sweet dream. it's yeonjun. he just got back from his work, he flopped beside her on the sofa while watching her busy with her work.
"aeri, you know you can tell me if something bothers you," he said even aeri not giving him a single glare. aeri stopped her work.
yeonjun has been living with her since she was born. he was there every time she needs the most. of course, he knows when she's down.
slowly he made his way to hug her. it feels weird, he's hugging her sister but also someone's wife. "is college made you stress, baby?" he asked while comforting her on his warm.
she shook her head. "everything alright... it's just about... heeseung," breaking the hug. he was shocked when he saw aeri with tears falling on her cheeks.
"why? did he do something to you?" he asked, full of concern but she shook her head. looking around even though she knows heeseung is not at home. he's at the zoo right now, doing his project.
looking through her brother's eyes. maybe it's time to tell him before things get worst. "you know the guy who's taken our so-called mom from dad?" she asked as her tears couldn't stop coming out.
shaking his head, yeonjun clueless looking at her sister while his brain tried to connect what she mean by heeseung and the fcking guy. "why wouldn't i know? he's such a jer–"
"he is heeseung's father," she said in one breath as yeonjun got closer to her and his eyes went widened.
"he told you that?" he asked, comforting her again when he saw she couldn't breathe properly because she was holding her tears too much.
"i know that for a long time and marrying him was my plan to ruin his life like his father do to us..." she said bursting into tears. oh god, she wishes she could say that she want him to stay. "but he didn't do anything to us,"
but her next mission. mission two: leave you.
"uncle knew about this too. that's why he's helping me marry him. i never loved him before but i think, i ruin myself too. i love him, i love him so much to the point i don't think i can't lose him, i want to be with him. but i can't. i don't think i deserved him,!" she cried out loud at her brother.
it's been three days she kept it all by herself and now she finally let it out.
"you can make him stay, you know?" yeonjun whispered, trying to comfort his sister but aeri shook her head, looking at yeonjun with sad eyes.
"even if i didn't let him go because of his father, i still need to let him go because..." she took a deep breath. "you know why right?... his dad ruin my life!"
"but he did nothing wrong. yeonjun-ah, i don't know what to do. i'm scared of losing him," she exclaimed, wiping her dry tears that stopped after a few minutes.
to be honest, yeonjun couldn't say anything. he does know that they married without any love but didn't expect it'll be this complicated.
she's doing this everything to get revenge for what heeseung's father do to choi's family but ends up doing it to someone who did nothing wrong. she was wrong for that and she admitted it.
"it's okay. you'll be okay and heeseung won't leave you," once again he comforted her, making sure she knows that he was always there for her. sounds like aeri doing too much right?
––
a sob could be heard behind the door but heeseung didn't even bother to open the door. he can't believe what he just heard.
he wishes he could shout to them how much he hates his father for ruining their family... and his family. god knows how broken his heart is when he heard she never loved him before.
when he tried his best to hide his pink cheeks, an effect from blushing because of her flirty words. words can't explain how hard he keeps his straight face when she's around and act as if he hates her.
it was fake. everything she does not because she is obsessed with him. stupid heeseung for liking the effort she made to get closer to him. out of all the people, why him? why heeseung? it's because of his father.
after 30 minutes, he finally mentally prepared to face aeri. god damn, he doesn't hate her, he can't but it just... hurts.
for now, he'll act normal but a little bit distant. when aeri tells him the truth, he'll make sure he completely disappeared from her world.
that's hard, but... he can say he did nothing wrong. he hates his father too.
knocking on the door a few times, the door opener after a second revealing aeri with her smile. what a fake bich she is.
"hee, comes inside. yeonjun made us a tea!" she pulled him toward the bar and made way to his seat but he don't even react. keeping his cold face while sipping the hot tea.
after that, he's leaving the kitchen without any words. the tension around them, making him hate to be here more. he can't love her. that's it. that's the ending.
