Lola POV
I was currently sat in a diner in a little cafe with my boyfriend- well, soon to be ex boyfriend.

I was planning on breaking up with him tonight, we were going to go to this diner, have food and I was going to tell him before we left.

Cody was nice and stuff but sometimes he was, like, crazy jealous and none of my friends liked him.

"Thank you." I said, politely, to the waiter who gave us our food.
"No problem." He smiled and left.

"He was totally flirting with you." Cody half-whispered, clearly angry.
"He wasn't, he was just being nice." I told him, laughing a little.

I noticed after dinner, that he kept looking behind me and began looking a little uncomfortable.
"You alright, Code?" I asked him, putting my hand on top of his.

"Yeah. That girl behind keeps looking at me." I looked behind me and saw a rather pretty girl with long brown hair, green eyes and a beautiful smile on her lips, she quickly looked away blushing a little and began speaking with the person she was sat with.

"It's fine, she's sitting with her boyfriend or something." I assured him, he nodded and we ordered a dessert to share and more drinks.

We were half way through dessert when Cody spoke of the girl again.
"She's staring." He told me, looking back at me from the girl over my shoulder.

"Go talk to her, tell her you're uncomfortable with how she's looking at you and if you must, tell her you have a girlfriend." I advised him. He nodded and went off to talk to her.

He came back with a mix of anger and embarrassment in his face.
"What'd she say?" I asked him as he sat back down.

"She said she- -." He mumbled off.
"Pardon? She said what?" I asked him again.
"She said... she was looking at you, not me. She saw you properly when you went to the bathroom and thought you were pretty." He explained, how even more embarrassed.

I turned around to look at her and she was already looking at me blushing, I must admit I was blushing too but hoping it wasn't too noticeable. I gave her a quick wink before turning back around.

"Ugh, I'm going." He stood up, rolling his eyes.
"You can't leave! You drove me here!" I ran after him.
"Don't care." He got in his car and drove off.

I went back into the diner and took my earlier seat.
"You alright?" I heard a thick unidentifiable accent ask me.

I looked up with a fake smile, trying to seem fine. "Yeah, yeah. All fine."
"Are you sure? I'm sorry he got so mad." She smiled sheepishly.

"It's fine, he always gets like that. It's not your fault." I assured her.
"Still sorry. Do you, without sounding creepy, need a way home?" She asked me, sweetly.

I was still stuck on that accent. I couldn't tell what accent it was but I knew I had heard it somewhere. And her... she looked familiar. I knew I hadn't met her before but I had seen her somewhere.

"No, it's fine. I'll get a taxi or something." I answer with a thanks.
"You can go back to your boyfriend if you want. I'll be fine."

"Oh, Steve isn't my boyfriend." She laughed.
"Oh, sorry." I laughed too, nervously.
"It's fine."

"Are you ok, though?" She asked, sitting down across from me.
"Yeah, I'll be fine." I gave her a reassuring smile.

She nods and it goes silent for a few seconds.
"You've not realised, have you?"
"Pardon?" I ask not sure of what she means.

"You've not realised (and this will sound cringe) but you've not who I am yet?" She asks.
"N-no, I don't think so, why?" I look at her more and I slightly recognise her but not much.

She ushers over the man who she was sat with.
He was a tall, muscular man with blondish hair and-
"Oh my god, you're Captain America!" I get up and shake his hand.

"Yes, I am." He chuckles.
I all came rushing back to me, seeing them every where on the news and on tv.
"And you're Wanda!" I realise and hit my hand to my head.

They both laugh at me and we sit down end up talking for a while.

"Well, it's been a pleasure talking to you, but we actually have to go." Steve tells me, glancing down at his watch.
"Yes, of course." I smile, standing up with them, "I should get home."

"Are you sure you're ok getting a taxi?" Wanda asks again.
"Yes, yes, I'll be-"
"Nope, you're coming with us. You're not getting a taxi." Steve cuts me off and we all walk out the diner.

"I'm really fine." I tell them, but Wanda uses her powers to make me keep walking.
I look down and see the red wisps of magic around my feet and legs.

She puts me in the car, Steve driving in the front and me and Wanda in the back.
"Where do you live?" Wanda asks for Steve.
I tell them my address and we soon around outside my apartment building.

"Call me." Wanda smirks, handing me a small piece of card with a phone number on it. I take it and thank her and Steve for bring me home.

I go back up to my apartment, waaaaaaaaaay happier than I left this morning.
"Hi, Smokey." I greet my cat, a Russian Blue.

I receive a meow in return before I went off to shower and get ready for bed. I had a large smile plastered on my face from the moment Wanda drove away and I went to bed.

Even through, typing a text to Cody, nothing could wipe away my smile.
