Tristan's pov

'I am so tired, perhaps I haven't had enough sleep, am I late to school?' Millions of questions flooded my head but the main one was why couldn't I open my eyes?

I managed to move my arm slightly before I heard a shriek.

"He's moving boss, he's moving!" I could feel the floor thumping which meant they must be jumping or perhaps stomping. Dad had taught me how to enhance my other senses when I couldn't use one.

"It's not a rat, chill out. Now, we can't have him gaining consciousness before the fun." The sound of metal scraping across the floor got closer. I began to shake out of fear.

'What is happening? Why is this happening? What did I do?'

3rd person pov

Rj was growing impatient, running around the house looking for his lost son while trying to contact his colleague. In fact, he was so focused on his task he forgot all about the guest in the dark room down the hall.

Milo took this opportunity to make an escape attempt, he knew exactly who had done this to the poor child and it scared him. Rj never put his blindfold back on and the light coming from the hallway through the open door was an extra advantage, but it also meant Rj could see him clearly.

His wrists and ankles stung from how long and how tight the ropes had been on for. The man's nerves grew stronger every move he made. Milo could hear distant panic, he had never seen this side of his kidnapper before, it intrigued him.

"Get your ass over here and look for DNA! Anything to find him. Juno I know I'm a shit person but just help me." The purple-haired man's fists were clutched tighter than ever as he hung up the phone throwing it to the side. The corner cracked slightly from the impact.

His head instantly clicked to the side so he was watching his hostage, a psychotic smile plastered across his face. Fear grew in the tied up man's eyes as the monstrous-looking figure marched towards him.

Milo couldn't imagine what Rj would do to him in his state if he caught him attempting to escape.

A bead of sweat dripped down Milo's face as Rj approached. The air was getting thicker.

Once Rj had reached Milo, he lowered himself onto the floor; Rj was looking to the floor, Milo could feel the pressure decreasing on his ankles. Was he being untied?

He felt the ropes fall and he immediately kicked Rj in the jaw. The only sound that was heard was the thud from Rj's fall. They both stared at each other in silence. Milo's chest rising and falling quickly while Rj held his jaw.

Milo could feel himself slipping into unconsciousness and the last thing he saw was Rj standing up and walking behind him before he blacked out.

Juno's POV

I stood in shock as Rj hung up the phone, Tristan means so much to him and losing his kid would be like losing the world.

The boss could either be balling his eyes out which is rare, or going insane which means he won't plan anything and just go for it.

I scrambled to grab my equipment and put on my shoes. I was about to open the door when I felt teeth dig into my leg. I keeled over in pain as I looked back at my leg.

That rabid child had it's teeth stuck in my leg.

I shook my leg to get it off but it's body just flew around like a flag.

"Get the fuck off you little shit!" I shouted at it trying to separate it from my leg.

After a few minutes of struggling I eventually got the red haired demon in an old car seat I had as a child. I had to tie it up using chains because on my first attempt the kid had bitten through all the rope.

I had to wait a few minutes to make sure it wouldn't be able to attack me while I'm driving. RJ's house is at least 30 minutes away from mine, meaning he would most likely call me 6 times during the journey, especially since Tristan's been taken.

Tristan is RJ's world and will always be no matter what and I don't think anyone could change that. I remember the first time RJ brought him over, he wouldn't let me touch him, talk to him and even made me sit 5 metres away from him. He never let Tristan out his sight for more than a second. Whenever Tristan wanted to wonder around he'd stay at least 10 inches from him and always had me stay behind them. I had no privacy that day.

However, that was three years ago. RJ is slightly more relaxed now, I can hold Tristan only if he asks first and RJ is with us.

I turned on the radio hoping it would clear my head and help relax me before I reach hell itself.

-- At RJ's house --

I parked the car and turned around to look at the rat. I stared at it for a while trying to depict whether it was dead or asleep. I wish it was the first but it opened it's eyes and glared at me as if I had taken candy from a baby.

"Nah.." I quickly got out the car and knocked on RJ's door as I turned around to see the child flailing around in it's seat.

I swear I felt all the colour drain from my face.

"What took you so long dunce head?! I can drive across the earth by the time it took you to get here." Did he just call me a dunce head?

I slowly turned to him with tears in my eyes.

"You don't know what that demon has done to me! Oh save me my prince charming!" I tried to lighten the mood by acting melodramatic. I swear I saw fire in his eyes.

RJ shoved me aside before stomping towards my car. "Get your stuff and get in the house." he said while opening the door and gave the rat a malevolent stare. I felt like he was piercing me in the reflection of its eyes.

I ran over to the boot of my VW beetle and grabbed my gear before rushing inside. I set it all on the table in his living room but before I could start working I watched RJ walk in.

I swear I died for a second as I saw him carrying the passed out child by the neck while he had the most sinister stare I had ever seen.

"Let's find the bastard that took my son."
