(Henrys POV).

I shoved my books into my bag before heading out the door. "Bye mother!" I called out to her. Victor had asked me to meet up with him that day to help him study. We had a test in our natural philosophy class, and of course, he slept through it all.

The rain trickeled down around me, and the trees swayed. I was delighted for our study time together today. My eyes drifted up to look at the sky, as I thought to myself. We had been getting together quite often, lately..But I didn't mind. I enjoyed our time together.

The words repeated in my head, as I read off Victors address to myself. I had been there many times before, but my memory wasnt the best. Eventually, I arrived at his doorstep, and knocked on the door. Victors house was isolated from the rest of the town. It was old, and it had a prominant gothic style to it. The door creaked open, and Frankenstein stood on the other side.

"Hey Clerval," He greeted me, and I stepped inside. We hugged, and I felt at peace once again. I smiled to myself, as he led me to his study. It was a mess, as usual..Papers everywhere, random beakers and flasks, I wondered what he did in there sometimes..He sat down on the floor, and I did the same. Victor began to pull out books and papers, frantically talking about things, and I watched him.

He was graceful in his movements, or atleast, my mind saw it that way. I couldn't help but think about him in a more romantic light. Classical music played gently in the background, as we made eye contact. We stared at eachother for a moment, before breaking the moment. "So- Can you help me?" Frankenstein asked.  "Of course- So, you just.." I began.

We talked together for hours, Occasionally the subject switched off from our studies and we just chatted. But, Victor seemed different than usual..In a good way. He seemed much more calm than usual, more friendly. We looked at pictures in the school textbook together, as I made stupid jokes that usually got a laugh or two out of Victor. We sat close together as we conversed.

Victor slowly moved his hand closer to mine as we talked together, trying to be slick about it. I noticed, and also moved my hand closer. We touched, and we began to hold hands, as I moved in closer. Neither of us mentioned it, but we both were smiling.

As the evening ran on, my body began to get tired. I started to put stuff in my bag, and turned to Victor. "I have to go, my parents are expecting me.." I told him, though I wish I could've stayed longer.  "Do you have to?" I nodded, and stood up. "It was a good time, though! Let me know if you need any more help." I offered, and smiled to him.

We waved goodbye, as I stepped out the door. The rain poured downw harder, and I popped open my umbrella. It stood high above my head as I trudged through the muddy rain. Yet, thoughts of Victor still lingered in the back of my mind.

We held hands. We never hold hands. At most, all Victor did was sit at the same table as me. I knew it probably didn't mean anything. But.. I still smiled at the thought of it.
