(Victors POV.)

I tap my pen on the desk frantically, trying to thing. The blank piece of paper i stared at had been taunting me for what felt like hours. How was I going to tell him? Was I going to tell him? What if he didn't feel the same way? My mind was filled with worried thoughts.

As I thought, my eyes wandered over to the window. The moonlight shined upon the dark room, and the wind blew the leaves around. I knew I shouldn't have stayed up so late, Clerval was probably going to pester me about it the next day..

To be honest.. It was kind of cute, though. He really cared for me. I stared back down at the blank paper. Gah, I needed to hurry up and write this thing already.. My pen pressed down onto the paper, and I began to write.

'My Dearest, Henry Clerval..

My feelings towards you have grown lately..You care for me deeply, and so do I. I cherish our moments together, and I desire that we can be something more. I do hope that you share these feelings as I do. We have been very close for a long while now, and I have grown ardor towards you.

I await your reply dearly,

Victor Frankenstein'

I placed my pen back into its container, and stared at the work infront of me. I had never written a love confession before.. The words seemed to stare back at me, taunting me. The flame on my candle grew high, and I slipped the letter into an envelope. The wax dripped down onto the paper, and I stamped the wax seal.

I had gotten a special stamp just for this letter, it was shaped like a heart, with flowers on the inside. My whole body was overcome with dread, as I placed the letter inside my satchel. I went through all the bad scenarios over and over again. What if he didn't want to be friends anymore? And I just ruined our entire friendship? Honestly..I was too tired to think about it.

I plopped down on my bed, and felt a rush of relief. The empty ceiling sat infront of me, and I stared at it. My mind pictured me and Clerval together, happy, holding hands. Maybe that would be us, someday... I turned to my side, and began to drift asleep.

The sun peaked through my velvet curtains, and I stretched, standing out of bed. My satchel hung from my chair, the letter sticking out the top of it. Its like it was teasing me. The sun glared in my eyes, as I stared at it.

I quickly threw on my clothes, and tossed the bag over my shoulders. As I walked out of the room, I looked out the window. The sun stood tall over the green hills, and the grass was wet with dew. The door swung open as I stepped outside. My mind wasn't thinking about school, or the test we had that day, all I could think about was Henry.

I quickly made my way through the town, before I arrived at the school. Henry Clerval was there waiting for me, and we ran over to eachother. "Hey Victor! You look tired." He exclaimed, and I nodded. "How late were you up last night?"

Honestly, I wasn't sure how long..It couldve been 11 pm, or 5 am.. "Who knows.." I answered, with a shrug. Clerval pulled me into a hug, and I could feel my face turn red. I adjusted the strap of my satchel, and pulled away. "So.. Will you- meet me after school?" I began to feel a wave of nervousness rush over me as I spoke. My hands fidgeted, as I looked down at my bag. "Oh, sure! Are you alright, by the way? Your face is all red?" He explained. I gripped the strap of my bag tighter, as my hands began to sweat. "Oh, I just-" I began

Just as I started talking, the bell began to go off. Thank god, I thought to myself. "Time for class- Bye-.." I stammered, as I ran inside, and went to class.

The day passed by slowly, all I could think about was the letter. What if it fell out of my bag, and someone found it?  Was I really going to give it to him?...Finally, the school day was over, and I made my way through the halls. My eyes stared down at the floor. I pushed through the students, before the light finally shone in my eyes. After my eyes adjusted, I saw Clerval waiting for me alone.

"Hey..." I mumbled, as I walked over to him. "Hey!" Henry replied, an endearing smile on his face. I took his hand, and we made our way to a bench near the trees. We sat down together. I hesitated to let go of his hand, before I reached into my bag. "So..what did you need?" I held the letter in my hands, and sat there, frozen. I didn't know what to do. He looked at me with a confused look. I sighed, and handed him the note.

"Read it.." I told him, and stared down at my feet. The ripping sound of the envolope rang through my ears, as my hands got sweaty. The moment seemed to last forever, as he read the letter. I looked over at him quickly, before looking back. Clerval was silent for a moment, before he turned to me.

"Listen, I-" I began, before Clerval gently pulled me in for a kiss. Our lips touched. I pulled him in closer, as we held hands. We kissed for what felt like hours, before He pulled away. We said nothing, but we stared at eachother, and I smiled. Everything felt right...
