Honey I'm home

I love my boyfriend. He's the perfect guy. He's nice, buys me whatever I want, and he's sooooo hot. He's also a family boy . They all work at a family bakery. He's a perfect boy but lately he seems off. Everyday for the past week he's had to work late even on days he's off. He goes to work and then comes home late. He misses my calls and doesn't answer my text. He'll only answer if I text him our safe word; chairs. We made it up since we both love action movies and all the couples in the movie have safe words.
I tried asking him about it but he always manages to change the subject.
For example:
3 Days ago
"Honey I'm home!"
"You sound so old when you say that" I said.
"Whatever just give me a kiss" he pulls me into a kiss but I put my hand on his lips
"Wait. We need to talk"
"Heyyyyy! I was waiting all day for that kiss" I glare at him
"Okay"
I move us to the couch and we sit
"So for the past days you've been working late and you've been working on the weekends. What's going on?" Jake looks down at me and starts to smile.
"You look so pretty". I laugh at his comment
"Answer my question Jake"
Jake gives me a look of lust and starts to kiss me. Before anything can escalate I stop him
"Jake."
"Yessss Emily"
he goes into a kiss but I stand up.
"Jake I'm serious"
"okay I'm sorry. Let me make you some dinner and we'll talk okay"
"Fine."
We didn't didn't talk. We ended up watching anime and fighting over if the ghouls were vampires would they like tea instead of coffee.
