"Hey, is that Tanya?" I heard Lori whisper as I approached them.
They definitely look way different in person. Lori is taller, and I swear that girl never stops growing. She also grew her blonde hair out, having it up in a high ponytail today. I think she even darkened her roots. It's pretty.
Genesis is still pretty short, the shortest in our little friend group. She has her dark brown hair in a messy bun, and apparently had some bangs done. She could pull anything off, even bangs.
"Yeah, that's definitely Tanya. Wow." Gen replied, when I finally made it over to them. It felt as though I'd been walking for five minutes. It was probably more like fifteen seconds, though.
I cleared my throat.
"Hey.." It was an awkward greeting. Not knowing what to do, I shot up my hands, pointing finger guns at them. "It's, uh, good to see you guys."
Yeah. You become pretty anti-social after being in a pandemic for what felt like forever. I didn't even know if I could hug them, or if I knew how to hug someone outside of my family.
"Yeah.." Gen quietly responds. I never knew why they thought I couldn't hear them when they spoke at a decent whisper like that. "What happened to her hair?" She continues whispering to Lori.
Thankfully, Lori's brother, Benjamin, came over and broke the awkward silence. He was probably the second most extroverted of our group, next to Max, who comes in later.
Ben hugged Gen and I, complimenting my outfit and Gen's hair. He was always so kind to us. I love looking back at moments like this.
"It's so great to see you two again! I have so much to say to you, and wow, how amazing you all look! I love the hair, Gen! Ooh, and..." He was always so positive. Ben continued complimenting the both of us, and ignored his sister. They had a good bond, don't get me wrong, it's just normal sibling behavior. Reminds me of Beverly. Who, I will also, get to later.
