"I may need you to cook for me more often, Lynch." I smirked. I forked more spaghetti from my plate and slurped the noodles up. "You're pretty good."
Ross flashed a smile. "Thanks Liz. Do you want more Mountain Dew?"
"Yes please." I replied. Ross poured more into my purple cup. "Thanks. You really went all out for this apology dinner."
"You're my best friend, I don't want to lose you." Ross said as he ate a piece of garlic bread. "Plus, I wanted to impress you with my rad cooking skills." He added with a smile.
"Well, you have succeeded. And, you didn't burn my house to the ground!" I exclaimed, making Ross laugh. I stuffed my last meatball into my mouth and put my fork on my plate.
After I chewed and swallowed, I told Ross, "Thank you so much, for everything."
"It was my pleasure. Are you done?" He replied and I wiped my face. I nodded. We cleaned up together and Ross pulled me in for a hug.
When we pulled away, I saw Ross had a little spaghetti sauce on the corner of his lip. "I'll get that." I smiled, wiping away the sauce with my thumb. Ross took my thumb into his mouth and sucked away the sauce.
"Ew!" I squealed, wiping Ross's saliva on his jeans.
"Oh, you know loved it." He laughed. Ross brushed a piece of my hair out of my eyes and rested his hand on my cheek. He leaned down and pressed his lips to mine in a sweet kiss. We pulled back after a few seconds and smiled.
"Let's go for a walk." Ross held out his hand and laced our fingers together.
"Okay." I smiled as Ross led me through the front door of my house. We walked down the street and started to wander my peaceful neighborhood.
"Ross," I said. "Why are you so afraid for us to date?"
Ross stopped as we came to a turn. "What do you mean, Liz?" He asked.
"I mean," I dropped his hand. "we do things like kiss and hug and stuff, but you don't want to give us the title of boyfriend and girlfriend. Why is that?"
"I'm sorry," He apologized, his face falling sad. "It's just, you know. The whole crimes together thing."
"Okay. Can we just give it a try?"
Ross licked his lips. "I don't know, Liz."
"C'mon!" I begged. "Just one week! If you can deny that I'm the best girlfriend ever then you can break up with me and we can stay friends."
"Alrighty, babe." Ross smirked as he pressed his lips to mine.
