Starting Anew

Chapter Three

The mall changes right before my eyes. I can see more items available through the glass windows.

I watch until i hear a small whimper. I head to the pet shop and try to find something to feed the puppy. I know that puppies drink milk from their mothers, but thats it. I've only ever had a grown dog as a pet, so rearing a puppy is a gray area.

I lay the puppy down on a soft towel and look for something to substitute the milk. A strange screen suddenly pops up in front of me causing me to stop.

Level 1 has unlocked pet food and snake egg.

I go to the shelf full of different types of foods and find milk. I pray it works and carefully feed some to the puppy.

He laps it up and finishes the bottle like a champ. After eating he falls asleep on the towel. 

I gently wash him and take a look around the pet shop. Its just an extremely large room lined with shelves. Each wall hold different types of eggs. Yes, all the animals are in eggs, there are even dog eggs.

One wall is full of land eggs, one are water eggs, one eggs of animals that fly through air and the other different types of foods, but only basic foods. The most common things are small crystals that can substitute for food and water. A strange energy is rolling off them but i have no clue as to what they are.

In the center of the room is a cleaning area and a fenced play area with beds for the pets. 

I take a look at the different snake eggs because they are the only unlocked pet eggs. There are three different coloured eggs. White, black and a vibrant gold. I pick up the small gold egg and it suddenly cracks open showing a small curled up snake.

I hold one of the crystals near its mouth and it gradually shrinks. After, I watch curiously as slithers out of the egg and stops around my wrist in a bracelet shape. Although it looks cute and beautiful, i can somehow feel just how dangerous it is.

My stomach rumbles interrupting my thoughts. Going to the grocery shop and butchers, i take some simple foods and make me a chicken stir fry.

After my meal, i decide to explore the rest of the shops. First i stop at the car shop. 

There are rows, upon rows of scooters, skateboards, bicycles, motorbikes, cars, trucks, you name it. The only available items are the bikes, skateboards and scooter. Basically anything without a motor.

Taking a longboard, I skate to the jewelers. Its another large room with many different types of jewelry available.

Though it looks luxurious, only few pieces are currently available.

Lastly, the classroom. Surprisingly, there is information pasted next to the door.

Classroom:

One day out of the space equals to one year inside the classroom.

Level of the SSP Mall doesn't restrict what you wish to learn.

You can exit whenever you wish.

When you enter, you have to audibly say what you wish to learn. 

*SSP recommends to learn cultivation first.

*SSP recommends to read the information booklet in the mission hall.

I open the door but all i see is an endless darkness. Stepping into the darkness i call out, "i want to learn to cultivation."

The darkness fades and all around me is a lush forest with trees as tall as sky scrapers and flowers as large as myself. An influx of information enters my head, directing me on what to do.

10 Years later/Ten days later.

When i exit the classroom, i can feel the pure energy i failed to notice before. The first thing i do i check on the puppy. The puppy that was once sickly is now completely healthy and playing in the play area.

"What the..." How did this happen..? How is he so healthy?

Bark bark! The puppy runs towards me as soon as he sees me with excitement evident.

Gently picking him up, i cradle him in my arms and walk to the grocery store and cook a warm meal.
