Y/n let out a scream as he jumped back. "Yee hee hee... Bwa ha ha ha ha ha." The ghost laughed. "We haven't had visitors in ages!" "Oh, I'm just itchin' for new friends!" The biggest one in the middle said before laughing. "W-What the hell?! I thought ghost were just a myth!" Y/n screeched.

"Hey, keep it down over — AAAAH! GHOSTS! GHOOOOOSTS!" Grim screamed. "All the people who used to live here got scared of us and ran away." Ghost B said. "We just want a new ghost to play with! What do you say, buddy?" Ghost C asked. "Ghost friend?! Oh, hell no they gonna kill me!" Y/n shouted.

"Eeeeep!" Grim screeched as he shivered. "I'm a master sorcerer! I ain't afraid of any dumb ghosts! Myahaaa!" Grim said and used his magic and the Ghost A just disappeared before reappearing. "Nuh-uh. Not even close." Ghost A said. "Over here! Over here!" Ghost C laughed.

"Argh! They keep disappearing and reappearing!" Grim shouted as he used his magic again. "Stop it! You're gonna set the whole dorm ablaze and then we're both gonna get wet from the rain!" Y/n shouted. "Shaddup! I don't need any lip form you, human!" Grim shouted back. "If you beat them, you snobby weasel, I'll give you a can of tuna. How does that sound, hm?" Y/n said as he put on a faked smile and if you looked closely the corners were pretty much twitching.

"Myah...?! Hmph... I'm Grim, Master Sorcerer! How come I can't even hit one of these little —" The ghost started laughing as they appeared around Grim and Y/n. "Hrmph! Ganging up on us... Yer a buncha cowards!" Grim said. "Did I say one can of tuna? How about I make that two?" Y/n said with a teasing look.

"Myaaah... You, human! You tell me which way the ghosts are!" Grim said a bit more enthusiastic about the extra tuna can. "Bet, uhh, to your left!" Y/n said and Grim quickly used his magic and burned Ghost A. "Aaaaah! It buuuurns!" Ghost A shrieked. "Ha, got one! Keep it up, just like that... And let's clear out the whole lot of 'em!" Grim said with a grin.

"Myaah!" Grim shouted and used his fire one last time. "Hwaaahhh! We gotta get out of here before we get disappeared for good!" The ghost shouted before they all disappeared one by one. "H-Huh? Did we...win?" Grim asked surprise present on his face.

"Can't believe I'm saying this, but thank you for the help." Y/n mumbled. "Aw, geez, I was scared outta my — I mean, they didn't faze me one bit!" Grim said trying to seem like the ghosts didn't scare him. "Just a walk in the park for a mage of my caliber! Whaddaya got to say now, ghosties? That's right!" Grim said with a proud look.

"Good evening. In another gesture of my immense kindness, I have brought you dinner." Crowley said with a smile before realizing Grim was here. "Wait. That's the creature we ejected for causing trouble at orientation! What is it doing here?!" Crowley shouted.

"Takin' care of yer ghost problem, that's what. You're welcome, by the way!" Grim said with another proud look. "What is the meaning of this, Y/n?" Crowley asked. "Well, there were holes in the ceiling so I went to get buckets and those ghosts appeared and Grim helped out while I told him where the ghosts were making them leave." Y/n explained.

"But you know, on that topic, I do seem to recall that this dorm had a mischievous ghost problem. Ah, yes... That's why it was abandoned, in fact. The ghosts scared away all the students. And you're saying that you two joined forces to drive them away?" Crowley asked. "Join forces ain't exactly how I'd describe it." Grim said and folded his arms. "I wouldn't say 'Joined Forces' more like I bribed him to help out." Y/n said. "More like I drove 'em away and the human watched. And I only did it 'cause I wanted some tuna." Grim said before realization dawned on him.

"Hey... Wait a minute! I never go those cans of tuna ya promised!" Grim said pretty upset as Y/n looked somewhere else while whistling. "Would you two be so kind as to demonstrate your ghost-eradication methods for me?" Crowley asked. "One, no, 'cause I already wiped 'em all out. And two, no, 'cause where's my tuna?!" Grim shouted throwing a mini tantrum.

"I will play the part of the ghosts. As for the tuna, you'll recieve it when you defeat me. Oh, what generosity, Crowley..." Crowley said with a smile. "Now to chug this transmutation potion!" Crowley said and in a matter of seconds he was a ghost, but still had his mask, hat, and cape. "Ah, you gotta be kiddin' me. I gotta work together with the human again?" Grim groaned.

"Do it for the tuna, Master Sorcerer, or maybe you can forget about it." Y/n teased which a chuckle. "Hrmph. All right, but this is the last time. And I better be up to my jowls in tuna afterwards!" Grim said.

After some time, Grim 'defeated' Crowley. "...Well?" Grimp said as he tried catching his breath. "Incredible... I've never seen anyone bend a monster to their will quite the way you have. I must confess, my educator's intuition did sense something about you after that brouhaha at orientation, Y/n." Crowley said to Y/n.

"I could tell you had a certain animal trainer-y beast master-ish quality to you. Oh, yes. That said, I..." Crowley started mumbling to himself. Y/n looked over at Grim before sighing. "Is it alright if Grim goes to the school? His magic is pretty cool." Y/n asked with a mumble hating he's admitting it.

"WHAT? A monster, stay HERE?" Crowley shouted, shocked. "Please, if it's not too much. Grim looks like he really wants to go to the school anyways." Y/n said as he started to bite the inside of his cheek a bit.

"Hmmm... I suppose I cannot deny your plea. Very well." Crowley said. "Myah?! Really?" Grim screeched with a happy look.

"Let me be clear! Under no circumstances would I admit anyone to Night Raven College who has not been selected by the Dark Mirror — especially not a monster! Nor do I intend to allow you, Y/n, to freeload until you're able to return home." Crowley said to him. "It's not like I was gonna anyways." Y/n rolled his eyes. "Hrmph. Never shoulda got my hopes up..." Grim mumbled as his look turned into one of disappointment.

"Now, allow me to explain. It was the Dark Mirror that transported you here. Thereofre this school does bear some responsibility for your well-being. So, I will allow you to remain in this dorm, free of charge. However, you will need to pay for your own food, clothing, and incidentals. As to how you will do so, penniless are you are... "Ah. Ah ha. Yes, a fine plan." Crowley said coming up with an idea. "What exactly are you planning to make me do? 'Cause I don't think it's a good one." Y/n said as he squinted his eyes.

"You needn't seem so alarmed. I'm simply going to ask you to do a few odd jobs around campus. From what you've done here, Y/n, I can tell you know you way around a broom. So, what do you say to you two working together as a janitorial team? If you agree to that, I will make a special exception and allow you to remain on campus. I'll also allow you use of the library, so that you may study, and research ways to return home. How boundlessly charitable I am. Ah, but only when your work is over, of course!" Crowley said as Y/n stood there chocked.

A janitorial team? He must've lost his mind!

"Whaat? What kinda deal is that?! I wanna put on one of those sweet uniforms and be a student, not sweep up people's junk!" Grim complained. "If you're not satisfied with my offer, I can arrange to have you thrown out again." Crowley said to Grim who's mood changed quickly.

"Myah?! ...All right, fine! Let's do it." Grim sighed. "What choice do we even have?" Y/n sighed. "Wonderful. Then I beseech you both... To work hard as the newest members of Night Raven College's janitorial staff!"
