【14.3 ASSUALT】
Sierra could feel a strange tingling all over his body. She could hear her heart throbbing inside her head. Her face flushed hot with blood. She struggled a bit to get up. Her hair was all tousled and messed. Her eyes were red and beary.
She groaned as she tried to push herself up. "Only a half-wit like you would think about attacking the King's son. You are going against the whole Kingdom right now."
The man did nothing but charge at her and was only a breathe away to strike but he got stopped by something. He glanced at his chest. Many blue glowing stripes tailored with incantations were tangled around his chest.
Sierra was so smug looking at the lad standing behind the man. IT WAS KAMOOR! His book was hovering before his eyes. Thick blood was running down his nose but he was smirking.
"Sorry but you can't go any further." He pulled the stripes tight.
The man turned around though it was hard for him. The stripes were so tight that he could feel the pain in his throat. He made a lunge for the stripes and hurtled Kamoor toward himself. It felt to Kamoor as if he was flying. The man balled his hand into fist and was so ready to land a punch.
A silver glint reflected on his eyes. He became wary of his surroundings. A blade flitted up ripping the strips. It caused Kamoor to fall headlong. Man's fist got wasted, he opened his hand and took a defensive pose, getting ready for an incoming attack.
Many blades flitted toward him at a blistering pace. But the man was fending off every one of them apace. Amidst that, Sierra flashed abruptly before him.
She passed a smug to him. "Now I am close enough!"
She was about to thwack his face but he managed to sidestep quickly. He passed rapidly from her sight. She staggered; his physical strength was another thing but his speed....
She had never fought against someone like him. One could resemble him with wind.
She grunted getting frustrated. "Damn.....that speed...."
She sensed a hiss behind so close to her neck that it sent tremors down to her whole spine. In a second, she leapt high to land a back kick but the man grappled her shin and hurled her away. She fell down after crashing with a tree.
A whirring sound alarmed the man when it rose up to the crescendo. Two blades were approaching him at bearneck pace.
Azeal exclaimed confidently. "Now take this..... You bastard." He swept his arm and clenched his fist.
The man ducked and streaked toward Azeal and the discs followed him. Azeal's confidence died down as soon as the man flipped over the disc tucking his legs close to his head, right before when the disc was about to rip him apart. The discs passed beneath him and went straight for Azeal.
"HEOR 'E' KEN!!." Kamoor jumped in and chanted the spell. A gale at his behest, parried the discs away. His spell swirled the dust around them, when it settled down, the man was already standing at a distance from them. Kamoor's eyes were fixed on him. The man relaxed his shoulders and stood calmly.
"Don't just stand there IDIOT!" Kamoor scolded Azeal, but his eyes were fixed on the man
Azeal mopped the sweat from his forehead with his arm. "He is out of our league. Besides this, he still hasn't shown us what kind of Urjah he possesses."
"Perhaps he's just a normal human." Kamoor rested his palms on hips.
Someone came in behind them and said. "No, he's not a normal human being. You can clearly tell this from the way he fights."
Both looked behind. "SIERRA!" Both exclaimed worriedly.
She grunted. "I am alright. Are you both okay?" They smiled and nodded their heads.
Her clothes were slightly torn. And the lads were no different from her. Their body was a mass of bruises. Blood was smeared on their clothes. Despite their bad conditions they were glad that all three of them were still breathing.
She went to Azeal and stood in front of him with her back facing him. She thought to herself. 'I have to protect Azeal otherwise what is the use of me being his bodyguard."
Azeal came and stood by her side. "Let's kick his butt together." He flashed a toothy grin at her.
She sighed and smiled. 'How can I forget, he doesn't let me act as his bodyguard.'
Kamoor also came forward and stood by her other side. "Count me in." He punched fist into his palm. "LET'S KICK HIS BUTT!"
They were glaring at the man silently. And moments later, they and him streaked toward each other. But this time, the man was running in a unique style. He was running significantly lower in height and his arms were relaxed by his sides.
Both Azeal and Sierra got ahead of Kamoor. Man's attention got wholly shifted to both of them. Kamoor leapt over and chanted......
"SRIFEH FIOR!!" A spate of waves and tides gushed out of his mouth on his single blow.
It outpaced the man's speed, he changed his route but the waves followed him. An intense susurration was reverberated throughout the forest, quaking the ground beneath their feet. Azeal and Sierra paused running.
The man rolled over the ground and rapidly picked up a stone before standing up. He hurled it to Kamoor's forehead. As it made contact with him, his head jerked back. He lost his senses for a short time. Blood began to stream down from his forehead. The waves got dispelled.
Sierra conjured a hover-board beneath her feet and drove it to the man. Before approaching, she grew out a sword from the side of her arm's bone. She geared up to strike him but he escaped by doing a knee slide.
He got behind her and landed a kick on her head. The impact was so tremendous that it caused her to hurtle from the board. She continued to roll on the ground until she dashed with a boulder. She lost consciousness.
Kamoor bellowed in enraged seeing Sierra's condition. "OYE BASTARD!"
He was standing behind Azeal. His hands were placed on Azeal's back. The blood was dripping down his face. He passed a smug to him.
"Take this." He forcefully unleashed his Urjah that made Azeal careened toward the man. An air ripple was formed as he took off the ground.
A glaring golden light was shone inside out of his body. The man opened his legs wide and bent his knees. He alone unleashed his urjah forcefully. An air ripple formed behind him as well, but it was bigger than them. It caused him to fly at an unbelievable speed.
They both were about to collide, but before it happened, the man kicked Azeal away toward Kamoor. Poor Azeal was already at his limit, when he reached Kamoor he blasted off.
Kamoor got befuddled. "ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEE!"
The blast was so strong that it tossed them away so far from there. Their clothes got burned partially, it left a trail of black smoke in the sky.
Sierra mumbled softly in her unconscious condition. "A-...Azeal.."
The masked man crouched down right before her face and pondered.
'I am sure they will come back for her.'
