"𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐓?" you asked, bored out of your mind after walking for an hour straight. you could really use a nap.

"caw!! not yet!!" the crow screeched, leading you farther in the path to the estate of the demon slaying corps master.

you groaned, rolling your eyes and kicking a pebble in your path. was it that far that you weren't even able to get to it that quickly? your already thin patience was really being cut short.

you tried observing the scenery as you walked, but you kept walking into things, more like trees, which were starting to leave marks on your cheek.

they hurt, but not enough to teach you a lesson. but, you'd get scolded by the crow and kouhara afterward anyway.

"are we going to be there soon?" you groaned once again, putting your head in your hands as you trailed behind the crow.

"yes!! we are incredibly close!! caw!!" the crow cawed,

"finally," you muttered, your features taking on a slightly excited display.

we're close, i wonder how the master looks, how they'll be like.

you hummed in delight, starting to skip whilst following the crow to your destination. the atmosphere was calming and serene, absolutely divine for those who'd bask in it.

that, though, was cut short when you realized something. what was he calling me for?

perhaps i did something against conduct? but what could that have been? i'm not even important enough to be in his presence, so why?

you were nearing a decently large estate, so you assumed you were already at your destination. though you hadn't figured out why you were summoned, you would find out soon enough; after all, you were at your destination.

"we are here!! i am trusting you to be able to handle this!! caw!!" your crow screeched, flying off into the distance once again.

you shouldn't have trusted me, then. because i have no idea what i'm doing.

you felt two presences approaching, and eventually heard two people start to speak.

"hello. we are assuming you have been summoned by our master, please follow us."

one spoke in a monotone voice, the other keeping still whilst keeping their eyes trained on you.

you simply nodded, not wanting to speak more than you already had that day. plus, you didn't really speak to people outside of your circle unless you really felt the need to.

they began to lead you into the estate, and eventually into a room which held a person sitting in the middle of it, waiting for you.

"we have brought her, master." the one who hadn't spoke earlier spoke, waiting for permission to exit.

"thank you two, you are dismissed." the man spoke, the two 'girls' quickly bowing before taking their leave.

"why don't you take a seat?" the man said, turning  his head towards you, or rather the wall beside you. you noticed his forehead was purple, and his eyes were blind. so that explains it.

you took a seat in front of him, making sure that when he looked straight forward it'd look as if he was looking at you to make it easier for him.

"thank you for requesting my presence, but may i ask, why have you asked for me?" you inquired, still confused about why you were here.

"oh, my apologies, i had wanted to ask you if you would like to train under my hashira here, as i can tell with more training you could soon be among them. you are, rank kinoe, after all."

"you must have the wrong person, i am not yet capable of becoming a hashira." you admitted, cheeks very slightly flushed because of the implication of you becoming a hashira.

"no, i do not have the wrong person. you are incredibly strong and fierce willed, it would be an honor for you to train and become a hashira." he continued, smiling softly at you to enhance his persuasion.

"if you insist, i don't have the heart to deny you anymore." you admitted, the tint on your cheeks flaring up even more than before.
