Tohru was honestly upset. Even though she didn't show it, hid it behind her cure smiling face, she wanted to be pick. More than anything at the moment. But she had to stay put. Had to stay in the uncomfortable chair until her food was called. She listened carefully hoping that she wouldn't miss it.
"Orange!"
"Pear!"
"Grape fruit!"
"Apple!"
"Banana!"
'Grape!"
"Kiwi!"
"Mango!"
All she heard was anything but RiceBall. She felt so alone, so left out. She felt as though everyone was having fun but her. Until she spotted someone across the room. His head was down and his was wearing a red baseball cap with a slightly darker red trim. It looked quite loose so it would probably fall off if he shook his head around. He hasn't been chosen? But she was sure everything else was called. She only stared at him, not knowing what else to do. Was he also a RiceBall? No, she knew she was the only one. After a good 5 minutes he must've heard his food being called because he stood up, racing around the room, blending in with multiple children. She soon lost sight of him, he was lucky. He got to join the fun. She continued waiting, and waiting.
Tears started to form in the corners of her eyes, when she heard it. She didn't recognize the voice, but she heard what it said clear.
"RiceBall!"
She was to shocked to move. Her food has never been called before. She was stunned in her chair until she heard it again.
"RiceBall!"
She smiled and stood up, laughing and began to run around with the many other kids. She was so happy, running and playing for she didn't know how long. Until.
"Hey! Leek wasn't called! Why're you up?"
All attention was directed towards the owner of the voice. He was one of the 3 Apples in the large group. The next voice was quiet and stern, it sounded almost, sad.
"Because you would've never called it...."
"We would've!" The apple argued back.
"Then why didn't you?" The mysterious boy's voice raised slightly. Tohru managed to look through the crowd to see his fists clenching.
"Because! Our parents told us to stay away from you!" The Apple yelled.
"So I'm guessing some of you are Sohma's then..... You want me to leave don't you?" The mystery boy mumbled.
"Yes," an orange answered, stepping in. A few of the other children nodded I agreement.
Tohru couldn't understand why they didn't want him to play, what did he do wrong?
"Fine, I'll leave then. But, you have to leave the RiceBall in the game, don't leave it out. Sure there was a mix in the basket, but that doesn't really matter..."
And with that. The baseball capped boy walked off. She got a hat that looked a lot like that from a boy a few months ago, but it couldn't be the same person.
For the rest of the short lived game, the others had kept there promise and let her play. She was over joyed for the rest of the day, because the RiceBall was finally chosen.

"Miss Honda? Miss Honda?"
Yuki's voice snapped Tohru from her memory.
"Oh, yes Yuki-kun?
"I was just wondering if you would like me to walk you home from work tonight?" The Prince questions.
Tohru smiles gratefully and nods,"yes please."
After setting the table for the 4 people occupying the house, Tohru decided to go check on Kyo. The cat is usually down for breakfast before anyone, but not this time. She walked up the stairs and saw that his door was open, so she made her way towards it. She walked through the doorway and stood just inside.
"Kyo-kun, it's time for- Hey, what's that?"
Kyo was holding something rather small in his left hand. It was red, but Tohru couldn't tell what it was from where she was at. Kyo turned to look at her from his spot on the floor.
"Uh, it's just a hat I wore a lot when I was a kid. Kind of help block out stares and stuff," Kyo explains uncaringly as he stands, holding out the hat. Tohru's eyes widened. That was the hat. Red, with a slightly darker red trim. Kyo smirked at her shock and walked past her saying something as he went by.
"Finally found the mix in the basket."
She smiled brightly and chased him down the stairs taking the hat from his hands and placing it a top his head.
