Summary
A teenage boy who lost his will, his desire, his passion to create art and was trapped in the dull colors when his family faded like water-color paint from his canvas was transported into a whole different world and got a deer as his companion. While in this world, he was rediscovering colors and wars were brewing. But he wasn't going to let the colors of war ruin his once broken canvas like his past. No, he was going to paint the battle with his colors.
I awoke to a deer sniffing my face. The deer did notice that I was awake and took a few steps back as if it letting me get up. Blinking with an empty mind, I slowly got up from the green grass to a sitting position and looked around me. I was in the open field with tall trees surrounding me in the distance. Hearing the deer make a noise like it wanted my attention and it did get my attention. The deer was shaking its head towards a what looks like a berry bush and I knew what it meant so I picked myself off of the ground, made my way to the berry bush and pick one berry at a time. When I realized the berries were blue berries, I quickly began to eat more due to hunger and slowly my senses came back to me.
Now with a satisfied stomach, I can actually think clearly without the cloud blocking my way. I remembered I was at home, washing the dishes when this weird circle void thing appeared below me and I fell in. Remembering my screaming for help as I continued to fall into nothingness, the view of my home, of the counter and the cabinets continued to grow small then fade from view. Remembering when I thought I was dead and thinking about my life, my family and everything. But I didn't know I fainted during the fall, only thinking why me and how. I stood up and looked around again, in case I missed any details. Spotting what looks like a dirt path, I walked to the path and followed it to a large dirt road. While walking, I noticed the deer kept following me and sometimes looked at the surrounding as if it was keeping watch over me.
"If you going to keep following me, I should at least call by a name but I need to know your gender and you seem to understand me so are you a girl or boy? "I asked and it would nod its head. He shook his head when I ask if he was a girl but nodded when I said boy, deciding on a name was hard because every name I threw out, he didn't like.
This one-sided conversation went on for hours and either the teenage boy or the dirt road ended nor had the boy realized the sun was setting. The unnamed deer nudged his head against the boy's arm and looked up indicating him to look.
The teenager saw the color of the skies which is a memorizing view; Purple with different shades of blue colliding with red and shades of orange painted the entire skies. As if each color were dancing gracefully with one another. The warmth of the colors, brings a calm and peaceful atmosphere despite the bright red losing the skies or the overpowering blue covering the skies. The skies look like a war but in reality, the skies were dancing with elegance, grace and heavenly movement. Something that humans barely understood, making this magnificent art work.
Both teenager and animal went under a large oak tree and the boy made a fire with the twigs and branches, his unnamed friend brought to him to prevent him from freezing the night. "I'm glad my dad took me hunting with him and my uncle before. He taught me how to start a fire from branches and dried grass and a lot of stuff" The boy exclaimed to his unnamed friend who was looking at the fire with curiosity. The teenager laid down on the grass beside the deer and stared at the nightly sky.
The night skies were covered by the pearly white dots of stars and the colors were many shades of blue. Ranging from ocean blue to midnight blue, shade of navy, a bit of cerulean and azure with cobalt. The colors has painted a beautiful picture that no known camera was able to capture its beauty, no known painter could paint this beauty nor could anyone descript the depth and details of each sequence of colors along with stars with mere words, the only way to capture this beauty was to capture it and witness it in the moment. The stars slowly danced in the skies as the colors shimmer with the movement and rhythm of the stars.
Morning came along and the boy was asleep with his only trusted friend nearby. The sound of the people speaking loudly and the creaks of a wagon floated around. The unnamed deer awoke from the sound and listened for a bit before deciding to wake up the teenager, nudging the boy with his head.
